But, hey: guess you gunnies will like this:

TX makes it easier to carry guns around:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57239610
Texas legislators have passed a bill which would allow most people to carry concealed handguns without a permit.

Current state rules require those carrying handguns to have a licence, training and background checks.

But Texas's Republican-run senate has voted to drop the restrictions, despite warnings from gun control groups that the measures could put lives at risk.

Supporters say the new measures would allow Texans to better defend themselves in public.

The bill has been sent to Governor Greg Abbott, who has said he will sign it into law.

Texas has some of the loosest gun laws in the US and already allows rifles to be carried in public without a licence.

The new measure would allow anyone aged 21 or older to carry a handgun unless they have past criminal convictions or legal restrictions on them.
"Constitutional carry" FTW!

I'm surprised at the lack of commentary in the 'pit re: English black panther being shot in the bonce.

Well I shall no longer be going to them for my hand-crafted political apparel or artisanal gun related paraphernalia.

Where did I say anything about my rights?

On Etsy, I bought my GF a nice leather buttstock shell holder from Poland, and a hand-tooled leather cartridge pouch from WA state. She got herself some wooden grips. How does Etsy make the world a safer place by prohibiting such purchases by law-abiding citizens?

They don't. But the woke cucks who own Etsy, who've bent the knee to suck BLM dick for the past year, hate and fear guns. They want to stigmatize gun ownership.

Etsy still lets you sell gimp suits and cock cages, which says a lot about management.

Background checks are still in effect.

CCW training is a joke.

Gun control groups are full of shit.
Gun control groups point to mass shootings in Texas in recent years. Two shootings in August 2019 killed 30 people, a shooting at a high school in 2018 left 10 people dead and 27 people were killed in a shooting at a church in 2017.
None of the perps were dissuaded by not having CCWs.

The school was, of course, a gun free zone.

Thanks to those 'loosest laws', the perp in the Sutherland Springs church shooting was taken out by an open carrier with a rifle.

In one of those 2019 shootings, a killer in a church near Fort Worth was taken out by a concealed carrier inside the church.

Weird how the BBC left so many pertinent details out of that story.

I'm hearing rumours she was hit in the eye. Sounds like the set-up to one of my horrible jokes, it isn't - apparently, if the jungle drums are correct, she was shot through the eye.

Anyway, just like St. George Of Fentanyl, I couldn't care less about the fucker. If she pops off to the great state apartment in the sky, it'll be society's gain. She's yet another race-baiting prick who has serious delusions of grandeur - listen to her squaring up to this dude, calling him a "coon" and acting like a twat, safe in the knowledge her handlers/bodyguards are inches away.

One half-effort slap would knock her out of her boots...

All the non-Americans telling us what to do about guns can just suck my ass hole. I didn't make this country... but it just so happens that we have 300 million guns here. I know the rest of the world has been controlling freedoms and stealing guns for centuries. Well.. that didn't happen here and it will never happen. Your advice about how we deal with crime is fucking bull shit.... impractical... idealistic... and frankly retarded.

I will add that about 30% of Americans have retarded views about guns.... so.... we have enough to deal with internally. We don't need retards from Europe and Canada and Asia providing more stupid ideas.

Fucking gun free zones, where shooters (remember that there are 300 million guns here!)... yes.. suicidal maniac shooters can fulfill their nihilistic fantasies by slaughtering people. We actually set up slaughter zones where good people have no power to fight evil. And then the fucking ninnies tell themselves they are keeping people safe. Fucking hell. There are actually laws that prevent people from defending the lives of themselves and others just to keep the "evil" guns away.

God dammed idiots.

I had a fight with my ass hole brother. I told him I carry concealed whenever I can. I complained that I couldn't carry at work because I might be fired for it. Hell... if there was a shooter in the office I could help... but I will not have my tool. His response was the typical leftist bullshit claiming that my carrying a gun was the real threat. How does this even make sense? A bad guy is not going to care about following the rules. A bad guy will just show up in the office with a gun a start shooting people. and... there will be no good guys to stop them.... because they follow the rules and don't want to get fired.

Gun control in America is complete fucking bullshit. It just makes everything worse. I am not making claims about other countries. If there are very few guns in circulation in a country then things are different. I accept this. But... really... people who don't deal with the way crime works in America can just... well... yeah... suck my asshole!

Crime declined dramatically in the last two decades in the US... while gun ownership increased dramatically. It is just the last year where crime has spiked due to bad policing and prosecutions... so... yeah.... suck my ass hole.

Now that arrests have been made, the BBC has an update article concerning the Sasha Johnson shooting.

Introductory sentence for BBC's English language version of the article: Five people have been arrested after a prominent Black Lives Matter activist was shot in the head at a party in south London.

Introductory sentence for BBC's Pidgin language version of the article: Met police don reveal say na one group of four black men shoot prominent Black Lives Matter activist for one party for south London.

Now, I am not a native Pidgin speaker. Nor do I have any special linguistic expertise. But it seems to me that additional information is being conveyed to the audience that does not have whiny ass, guilt ridden first world activists excoriating their societies over perceived racial injustice.

Russian metal/symphonic/pagan band, Imperial Age, is giving away seven free songs. They remind me a bit of the house band, but with a thrash vibe. Might be up Bhurzum's ally as 'music to shoot reactive armor off a T-14 by.'

https://www.imperial-age.com

It's a thing now on Facebook -- offers from bands for either free downloads or signed CD and poster for shipping only. Then they upsell you and upsell you if you're not careful.

I imagine that the legal or HR department has at one time given consideration as to what the company's liability would be should there be a de facto armed volunteer security detail at your place of employment.

Which is not to discourage you. I would be interested to know the response should you raise this with them directly.

How much of the details as to your bother, anatomy or the influence of foreign agents on American policy would (of course) be up to you.

Just yesterday, a disgruntled worker shot and killed nine co-workers at a CA public transit hub. Set his house on fire before heading out.

https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2021/05 ... 622109745/

Multiple guns, unknown whether they were possessed legally. Perp had a record of domestic abuse, restraining orders, was an anti-social loner with a volatile temper.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nat ... 455620002/

Not sure, but I’d wager the work site was a gun-free zone. Obviously, none of California’s draconian and ridiculous gun restrictions did a damn thing — other than prevent any of those nine people from defending their lives.

You all recall the recent mass shooting at the FedEx facility in Indianapolis. Perp was a circus freak who’d been fired; employees were not only prohibited from carrying firearms, but also their cell phones. Well, my GF’s boss just had to fire somebody at her FedEx station — a new hire who everybody got a bad vibe off of from the start. Makes you worry. My GF has a CCW permit, but jokes that her uniform is not conducive to concealing a firearm. She does carry a permissible knife and a contraband OC spray. IMO, the latter should be standard issue, considering all the aggressive dogs couriers encounter. Much of her route runs through the boonies, and a few months ago, she was stranded alone by the roadside for hours, with spotty cell signal, when her truck conked out. Makes you worry.

So I had a person (TPM) working from me who was really good technically, but who was overaggressive in meetings. They got called out a couple of times, and one of the people they dumped on called her VP to complain, and he escalated to my boss, who is also a VP.

As a result of disagreements between my SVP and the SVP on the other side about a completely different issue, ownership of the project my TPM was assigned to was moved from TPM to a director on the other side (it was the right business decision, BTW). My TPM took this as a public insult, and their performance and attitude went down the council. They applied for a manager role in a team managed by a VP peer of my boss. This person asked me, and my boss, about my TPM. We both said don't even interview them - they are not ready to be a manager, but idiot other VP went ahead anyway, and basically gave TPM the nod that they would get an offer.

In the meantime TPM had taken a shit in their underwear again, and I gave the feedback to idiot VP, who decided they were not going to make the offer to my TPM after all. Didn't even bother telling TPM that they were not selected for the job.

My TPM went ballistic, accused me of sabotaging their career, and performance got even worse. They went entirely passive aggressive, started to refuse requests to do tasks.

So, I started pulling together a formal performance improvement plan (PIP with HR, and with all the stuff mentioned above documented from contemporaneous notes.

A few days after that TPM told me they were resigning, and though they had not been notified of the PIP, they were completely self-aware enough to know it was heading their way.

Couple of days later, in one meeting in public TPM complained they had nothing to do, so I reminded them that we needed a meeting with a bunch of people related to a task the TPM technically owned.

"Don't ask the only woman on the team, and the only person with nothing to do to set up a meeting. That's sexist, and like asking me to get coffee for the men."

Next thing I know, after TPM has left HR reach out to me to say I had been accused of creating a sexist environment in my org.

Whoda thunk it!!!

Talk with Amanda Milius, producer of The Plot Against the President. First account I've heard from a committed Trump staffer about what it was like to work amongst the permanent bureaucracy types. You frequently hear about the Swamp and the civil service resistance to Trump without gaining any real insight into what the environment is actually like. Milius goes into her experience at the State Department.

I biked over to Brooklyn, met an old friend for his 40th birthday, sat in a park looking at dogs & women, got along with him alright (not always a sure thing.)

As we were parting ways, 3 pubescent white boys with hair in their eyes-- rode by. Each on one of those $800, oversized-bmx bikes which drug dealers currently favor.

One kid was even on the 'BEAST MODE/ BENJAMINS' model... which was rare & coveted (maybe it has been re-issued in larger numbers).

I had the momentary urge to steal the kids' bikes. I think the parents are crazy to put their scrawny kids on flashy robbery-bait bikes, alone in the 'hood.

What is your fucking point with these snide and stupid comments? Really... you sound like a 12 yo girl.
So fucking shoot me, big boy!
12 yo girls will not be shot... I will use my POM OC pepper spray.... it's nasty stuff.... and I recommend it!
Speak for yourself. A 12 yo girl is perfectly capable of being a lethal threat to myself or another human being. In that admittedly unlikely event, shooting her is not beyond reason.

And I will be fucked if I trust pepper spray for anything more than dissuading assholes and slightly aggressive dogs.

Yeah. Total crap. I recently had to terminate a black woman employee for lack of performance. HR basically just paid her a year of salary so she wouldn't sue us. I had a performance improvement plan with her for six months. She accomplished NOTHING on her plan. Yikes. In this case HR saved my ass.... haha. Just pay her off. My HR manager said... "Well John, she is an African American woman.... so we will offer her a pay-off."

Then.... our female secretary got pissed at me because I didn't schedule a "going-away" party. Haha. Glad I survived this incident.

Blacks have been essentially immune to firing over performance for 50 years.

I made the original mistake with her. When I interviewed her I asked "This job requires overnight travel out of town. Will you be able to travel overnight about once every three months?" Her answer was "Yes." That her husband was able to watch her child if she had to travel.

Fast forward to the first time I asked her to travel and she told me she was separated from her husband and he live in another city.... and if she had to travel she would have to ask her mother to fly in from out of town to help. I should have fired her that day... but I am actually a pretty nice guy (believe it or not). I kept her on. The rest of my staff did all the travel. She actually convinced the rest of my staff that they needed to help her because she was a single mom. I wouldn't have minded this so much if she made up for her lack of support by actually DOING SOME WORK!. Fuck. I should have fired her within the 90 days and found someone else. No... instead she turned into the worst employee I have ever had. My fault.

Just to piss everyone off, more Tucker Carlson.

To the never Trumper centrists and self-described true liberals who voted for "normalcy", this is what you asked for. It wasn't hidden, none of this should be a surprise to anyone. Still astounded at the sanguine attitude of the supposed moderate types pretending the wheels aren't falling off or that it's all Trump's fault.

Years ago, I posted about a jewish hippie baby boomer at an art opening. He's like Larry David in tie-dye.

The incident I wrote about-- was 'Larry' approaching me (because I'm a hispanic dude)-- for my opinion (permission?) regarding him telling a joke.

Each year 'Larry' posts pics of himself in a sombrero-- holding a container of mayonaise-- to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. He wanted to know if that was too offensive & edgy for 2018. I said Mexicans are unlikely to be butthurt about silly caricature humor. Look at every comedy variety show on the Mexican tv channel. I started to tell 'Larry' about Count Dankula teaching his dog to Seig Heil-- but 'Larry' grew agitated before I even told him the command Dank used. Larry stormed away fuming. Fucking marijuana baby-brains.

https://slymepit.com/phpbb/viewtopic.ph ... co#p463251

Today I got a call from 'Larry-David-in-tie-dye's wifey. She wanted me to explain who John Cena is, and explain something Cena said. She put me on speaker with 'Larry'. They called me because I know about wrestling.

'Larry' owns a 1980's clothing brand. Cena recently gave a shout out to the brand, to his 15 million social media followers. Larry & wifey were pleased at the publicity-- but the were worried that a street-slang insult might be concealed in the shout-out. And they were worried that this John Cena person might have a bad reputation-- is he a Trump supporter? a #metoo rapist? etc.

I said the shout-out was sincere. It was probably a nostalgic reference to the way wrestlers dressed in the 1980's. And a nostalgic nod to Cena's early-90's incarnation as 'white rapper' wrestler. I said Cena is arguably the greatest wrestling champion of all time-- Hulk Hogan was a bigger name/ but in a smaller pond. The Rock left wrestling for acting long-ago. Cena is a squeaky-clean kid-friendly good guy-- for 3 straight decades-- who holds the record for most Make A Wish Foundation visits... hundreds per year/ year after year.

'Larry' & wife were delighted to hear all this. And they led the conversation into the next part: they informed me they'd never heard of Cena until this week-- when 'Larry' saw Cena making an apology in Mandarin, and told his (asian) wife about it. They thought it was 'great' that Cena speaks Chinese. I said he has been learning it for years, because Vince McMahon dreams of expanding the WWE into China.

I tried to explain what Cena was apologizing for-- and 'Larry' kept interrupting me-- to say that it didn't matter, because it was so wonderful that Cena was apologizing in Chinese. I wanted to ask Larry if Cena had OFFENDED FUCKING HAMAS-- would Larry consider it wonderful if Cena apologized in FLUENT ARABIC ?!? But I didn't tell him that, because I knew his circuits can't handle it.

I told them-- if they were going to use their brand's social media account to acknowledge the Cena shout-out-- they should mention that their clothing is still proudly Made In The USA. I think they took my advice... but either their reply was lost in the scroll of other replies to Cena (90% are people telling Cena to go fuck himself over China) ... or else they 2nd guessed my advice... and deleted that reply.

Afterward, I walked-over to my friend's art gallery. Told him about all this. Before he was involved in fine art-- my friend was a smalltime local pro wrestler for 8 years. He recently started his own wrestling promotion and put on a debut evening of matches, in a New Jersey Elks Lodge. He's a very discreet & diplomatic person. We laughed & chatted about the Cena thing. Afterward, I don't really know what his opinion was/ on the politics of it all. We talked-about other aspects. Which, I think, says-something about how he would have handled the Cena shout-out. Stay apolitical, but don't be fake-smile corporate kiss-ass either.
