He damages a valid point about corporate influence with a false, or at least unproven, accusation.
I agree he pushed that angle too hard. Tucker is known for not coddling guests, but don't force it. He did better recapping the interview the next day.

I'd sympathize with the Guv on the need to avoid having the government dictate medical decisions -- the Left are currently pushing bills to make transition treatment obligatory for any minor who declares they're trans -- and there's no end to that slippery slope. But it's a no-brainer for the government to ban giving mastectomies or hormone treatments that sterilize to minors.

Back in the land of the living for now, discharged from the city today, and can get away with weekly bloodwork here and two-weekly visits down there. So happy to have the Hickman line yanked out of my chest today: this means bathing and sleeping may become feasible again.

Brive will be happy to hear my cunning plan to fatten myself up for the period when I could not swallow worked fine: I lost 15lb and still have little desire to eat. I do have to drink 2.5l of water a day to keep the kidneys going, as they don't like the anti-rejection drug. Sadly, tea, coffee and Châteauneuf du Pape don't count.

Amused to read this: Jordan Peterson on being Marvel's new Captain America villain It seems our old friend Ta-Nehisi Coates has written a new version of Red Skull who makes online videos directed at young men, with Ten Rules for Life, lots of Chaos and Order, but whose ultimate aim is to turn them into crypto-fascist street gangs. I wish he weren't so subtle and would say what he really meant.

Reminds me of the time RED SKULL infiltrated Congress, re-arranging the letters of his name to become Senator DELL RUSK. Devious !

I must admit-- it put a smile on my face-- to see Coates using the character 'Sin', daughter of Red Skull, in the storyline about Mikaela Peterson's dad.

Highjacking/murdering DC girls to serve no jail time. Probably won't even get time in Juvie.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -deal.html

As you can see, they are quite tall for 13 and 15. Something no one will touch is the prevalence of precocious puberty among blacks. [NB Brive: obesity is a causal factor.] Another notorious case where this came into play was the shooting of Tamir Rice a "twelve year old child" playing with a "toy gun." As I posted a ways back, the 'toy gun' was an airsoft 1911 indistinguishable from the real thing. And the 'child' stood 5'10" and weighed 185 lbs.

Keto, less the questionable ketosis magic, is simply swapping out carb based fuel sources in preference to protein and fat.

Done cleanly, that’s a proxy for dropping refined grain and added sugar. Which is itself a proxy for losing processed multi ingredient foods and other “food like substances” aka UPF.

Which for something like 88% of the American population is a necessary immediate step to avoid metabolic syndrome.
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... 115045.htm

Your time, unfortunately, will also probably come ... 🥐 or no.

It’s just how it works.
All very well if you can afford it. Do you think it is even possible to feed the masses with fresh whole foods? Surely an economic and logistic impossibility with the current population. Maybe it isn't actually impossible if you remove the profit motive and taste buds from the equation, but that isn't going to happen, so we are stuck with cheap and plentiful garbage the only practical option for the less well off.
Today I clean fasted for 24h. Because I’ve still got visceral fat, I’m not going to starve to death. And the less constant insulin in play the better.

Dinner comprised:
+ steak, 190g.
+ Pork steak 160g.
+ 2 fried eggs.
And for dessert, 160g of healthy Greek yogurt.

It wasn’t a great cut of steak, but if you are searing it with butter and garlic it’ll be just fine.

To idle away time I tallied it up.

$7.20. real cost - not estimated.

Add in the butter and spices and you’ll come in under $8. About 4200 kJ. Ie 1000 calories. About half what people think they need for a days worth of energy.

Less than my fares to work and back. Less than an $11 medium Big Mac meal - which would have me sniffing for nuggets and/or a Sundae before I was done.

The nutrition establishment and a weird sub-set of wokeish peoples have seemingly legitimised UPF. It’s allegedly a normal part of a balanced diet - in “moderation”. And the slop to feed the workers.

Which is of course bullshit. There’s nothing natural about it and it’s absolutely not required by anyone. It’s like the crazy world has begun selling crack and is self-congratulating themselves on a job well done.

8 Aussie dollars is about R90, which is a fair chunk to spend on a meal. Multiply that by the number of family members and you are talking big money for the average family. As you are aware the shite we get served up makes maximal use of food resources. You can't buy a reasonably priced baked goodie without the by-products of food processing (nutrient stripping) being shoe-horned into the recipe in place of butter or decent oils. I just wonder whether or not the infrastructure is up to supplying sufficient amounts of fresh food to cities bearing in mind the shorter shelf-life. I also wonder what prices would be like considering the loss of revenue from highly processed chemical concoctions.

Worth reading about the lead up to the Russian Revolution and the parallels that are around today:

https://www.firstthings.com/article/202 ... e-liberals
Anyone see any similarities with today's moral giants? Are the liberals of today any less blind to what they're acquiescing to? The parallels are amazing. And our precious rainbow-haired revolutionaries think they're so special and unprecedented with their shiny new dawn.
The Landmarks contributors mention a second characteristic of intelligents: their devotion to a special set of manners, including dress, hygiene (deliberately poor), hair style (the famous “short-haired lady nihilists”), prescribed and taboo expressions, and a set of sexual practices that the Landmarks contributors describe as puritanical dissoluteness
Reminiscent of Orwell's description of the British socialist intelligentsia.

Still worse, intelligentsia “science” entailed an assertion that the world worked by blind, purposeless force and yet, as if guided by providence, was guaranteed to progress in human terms and reach moral perfection. (As people say today, the arc of history bends toward justice.)
If everything is political, then the cruelest means are not only permitted but obligatory. What is more, the very tactics the revolutionaries condemned became acceptable when the revolutionaries themselves used them. The argument that comes naturally to liberal-minded people—what if the shoe were on the other foot?—was rejected in principle. For an intelligent, there is no other foot.
Russia’s greatest contribution to world culture—the literary tradition of Tolstoy, Turgenev, Dostoevsky, and Chekhov—could not have existed had these writers written to political formula. On the contrary, the Russian novel of ideas critically examined everything the intelligentsia stood for—the simplicity of human psychology, the easy division of people into good and evil, the supposition that life’s meaning is already known, and the reduction of ethics to politics—and showed how mistaken and dangerous such ideologies are.
Interesting how J.Peterson refers so often to the great Russian authors and how much the modern intelligentsia hate him.

Though some liberals recognized their differences from the radicals, most acted like intelligentsia wannabes who were unwilling to acknowledge, even to themselves, that their values were essentially different. Socialized to regard anything conservative as reprehensible—and still worse, as a social faux pas—they contrived ways to justify radical intolerance and violence as forced, understandable, and noble. They had to, since the fundamental emotional premise of liberalism—hostility to those ignorant, bigoted, morally depraved people on the right—almost always proved more compelling than professed intellectual commitments.
Educated society knew that one could not just abolish the police, as the anarchists demanded, and that socialism would not instantly cure all ills, but they assured themselves that progressive opinion must be right

Could have got the timing a bit better: imagine him dying the morning after the Oprah interview ("in which a multi-millionaire tells a billionaire how hard it is to be a princess"). Even the death certificate would have to state a cause of death like acute apoplexia secondary to grandson and granddaughter-in-law being complete dickheads.

We shall not look upon his like again.

The similarities are uncanny. What struck me most was the visceral desire to hurt, I mean really hurt, maim and murder, random people, especially among their own. Not to mention the urge to raze the very system that provides them with such cushy lives. The Baader-Meinhoff Komplex displayed these same. There must be some underlying behavioral response to sustained comfort; maybe in the past, we migrated, but now, stuck in place, the only way to depart from the existing environment is to destroy it.

Look at child development: a 'terrible two' year old learns to say 'no' & differentiate itself from mommy's tit. A puberty-kid acts-out against being mommy & daddy's little cupcake-- experimenting with anti-social (anti- the parent's early socialization of the kid) acting-out.

As the age of full-mature adulthood is set higher & higher... even PERPETUALLY postponed, so a middle-aged person might never graduate from the comforts of their birth-circumstances... into having to fend-for-theyself...

...the result is an adult body with a 'fuck you mom & dad' juvenile delinquent mentality.

Or, approaching this from another direction...

Benjamin Boyce has hosted 2 recent looong livestreams with James Lindsay & an annoying gnome who goes-by the name 'Wokal Distance'.

These discussions have been reverberating in my head-- affecting my moods & dreams, even. In particular, Wokal's summary of the post-modernist philosopher Baudrillard-- was jargon-free and concise (except Wokal then repeated his clever little summary ad nauseam, like repeating a joke until it's not funny. oh well.)

From a Baudrillard perspective, living in "sustained comfort" is living inside a simulacra. Much like the diet of processed pseudo-food Brive decries. Except this is a diet of hyper-processed ideas, symbols which have become detached from the authentic actual original things they were meant to symbolize.

Marx described workers being 'alienated' from the fruits of their labor. (Like growing fruit, but not being allowed to eat any of it... and being paid in Jolly Rancher fake-fruit candies.) The Frankfurt School borrowed Marx's hard-literal cash-money notion of being robbed by the bosses... and applied the same notion in an abstract/conceptual kinda way... to people feeling 'alienated' from Authentic human experience... and fed an unhealthy replacement-diet of junkfood symbols and ideas.

Living in an unreal state of conceptual alienation feels uncomfortable, so the living-in-comfort people spaz-out to destroy their comfortable/artificial environment. They hope that collapsing back into an 'authentic' Rousseau-style state of nature will be utopian, in comparison. They lack the understanding of their ancestors-- the ancestors who built the society the alienated-people want to destroy. The ancestors knew a wild state of nature isn't a storybook Eden. Its downsides are ample. For example: last year's CHAZ social experiment.

For what it's worth...

the part of the Baudrillard/Wokal analysis... which has been scrambling my brain... is viewing my own life trajectory. I was born-into an all-too-authentic environment: rural/suburban people with one-foot back still on the farm. Plenty of opportunity of freeze to death or be BORED AS FUCK during a long winter.

I wasn't the kind of kid who only wanted to grow-into the same role as his father & grand-father & great great greats... inherit the farm & sire more generations of the same. So it made sense for me to chase after whatever mind-stimulating tidbits of the larger-world I could catch: public library books, music records which nobody-local listened-to, tv movies magazines. All That Stuff was like an 'invasive species' of simulacra symbols. A glass bead game which was (at best) internally-consistent, which influenced my brain as I learned to think-in the exotic foreign language of those symbols.

So I gravitated to metropolitan places & pursued being a well-rounded/shallow Cognoscenti, fluent in the fake/sophisticated/artificial world...

and then idea-structures like "feminism", on which I had subsisted, turned-out to be carcinogenic. So I was flung from the Simulacra like a broken rollercoaster. Enough sense knocked-into me to break the spell... but no way to revert to my authentic 'noble savage' origin from before The Fall. And no clear+easy path forward... or maybe there is/ but I'm too out-of-shape to charge forward, undeterred.

==

I will say this in favor of all the simulacra-lore I previously-devoured. Despite all the crap it that diet's ingredients-list... I do think the thing which stops me from joining the lemming herd of the self-defeating Woke (and the Russian Liberals before them)... is that I'm better-informed... better read than they were. I'm viewing the world with a better critical eye than theirs, even if my eye is built from 'the master's tools' (as the woke would say).

Two recent dreams - nightmares, to be precise - have stuck in my head. Last night, I dreamt about trying to score ammo, but it was like buying black market eyes in Dick's Minority Report: expensive, illegal, and risky.

Before that, I dreamt I was stuck in the back seat of a car without A/C, traveling a long distance to Abilene, TX in the Summer. Next to me was Rebecca Watson. She was bouncing around on the bench and wouldn't shut the fuck up. She had oppressive Indian food/next day booze B.O. and her breath smelled like Fritos. Wes Craven couldn't come up with shit like this.

Haha. Another video for the new Disney theme park called "Negroland". A good friend of mine works for the city of Detroit electric company. He is one of those guys that goes up it the bucket truck to fix the wires after a storm. When he gets to some areas the melinated barbarians scream at them accusing them of fixing their power lines last. Sometimes they start throwing rocks at the workers so he packs up and leaves. No power for you! Haha.

When attorney Branca reports on the Chauvin/Floyd Minnesota Shitshow-of-Justice-- he always says he's reporting for "LegalInsurrection.com".

Here's Legal Insurrection's reporting on the same shady spooks mentioned in the quoted links above.

Legal Insurrection's report zooms-in-on a specific russian oligarch, his ties to FBI's Mueller-- going back to Hillary's time as Sec of State--

and (at the end of the article) some apparently-illegal funny-business from the FBI... regarding the Manafort investigation...

Here's the entire Hunter Biden/ Jimmy Kimmel interview:

As creepy as it is to watch Kimmel and Biden hangin' out, chill & sedate...

...it juxtaposes even-more harshly against the frantic coked-out energy at the beginning of the show. And the opening jokes are about: 1. Mike Pence, 2. Roger Stone, 3. My Pillow Guy, 4. QAnon 5. Trump's statements about Covid last-Easter. same old same old.

Plus there's this weird bit making-fun of an anti-Gaetz attorney... as-if that attorney's nuttiness somehow reflects poorly on Gaetz.

This is probably the 1st Kimmel monologue I've watched in, like, 6 years... so maybe I'm the last to know the show was 100% political jokes-- which sound like they were written by Kamala "Chuckles" Harris.

With the Rand at (seriously?) 8c per Aud, I understand you wouldn’t want to be paying Aussie dollars. It’s amazing how after 30 years, apartheid is not just still screwing the blacks - but is accelerating its impact. In 1990, pre-referendum, I think we got 2 Rand for the Aud dollar.

Regardless. In Australia at least, if you don’t have 7-8 bucks for your main meal of the day, well your problems are far more serious than ‘just’ nutritional decisions. Sure pasta and rice would be cheaper still. But that’s not really food is it? Saw dust was be even cheaper by that metric.

I’d be interested to see how much benefit would be delivered if all the tortured protein lost in hybrid meat/carb UPF concoctions was served up as whole-food instead. It’s not necessarily what you eat that’s as important as what you don’t eat.

Talking of so-called entertainment, I downloaded the first episode of Law & Order Organised Crime. It's been five years since I was last up on general entertainment series, having limited myself to the better sci-fi series and movies. It wasn't long before an Italian mobster was discussed who was involved in PPE and respirator smuggling and, hold your skirts, was a racist who thought BLM were thugs. This info came up after a raid on a storage facility which, of course, had previously been busted for an illegal granny-killing rave. At that point I deleted the episode with a sigh. I don't think I'm going to bother dipping any further toes into the TV cesspool. Perhaps I'm too quick on the trigger, but at last I'll have more time to do something constructive.

As an afterthought to my preceding post about the latest L & O I'd like to present my latest overly-cynical pearl of wisdom. Since I've only seen 15 min of the show this may be way off base. I'm wondering if the latest spin-off, franchise instance or whatever it is was inspired by woke dreams of Stabler and Co. tracking down and skinning alive shadowy, crime-connected white supremacist Proud-Boy bosses all culminating in the arrest of capo dei capi Pordan Jeterson or maybe Tronald Dump.

I've started watching 'Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman' -- which is basically 1976's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. The episodes are available free on Daily Motion.

It was produced by Norman Lear, so it's also the precursor to entertainment-crap being infused with Hollywood Social Values and Moralizing.

It's always described as a 'Soap Opera'. But I'd call it a 'Minstrel Show' of lower-middle class working white Americans.

And they don't even bother to call it a parody of a Soap Opera-- they just assume the Soap Opera form _is_ a joke. (As-if every 'comic book superhero' movie had to scoff-at it's own genre, like Adam West's Batman series. That approach works, but it leaves money on the table. A few years later, the evening-soap 'Dallas' was a bigger hit than 'Mary Hartman', by playing it straight. The new Robert Kirkman cartoon superhero series 'Invincible' is solid. It can be watched either way: straight superhero actiion adventure romance, or count the ironic-nods to a well-worn genre. So far, only a handful of SJW lines in Invincible -- confined to a single episode.)

And yet-- at least 'Mary Hartman's Hollywood depiction of middle American dorks-- did hit-its-mark, even-tho every punch was thrown from the Left. The people it shows us really-do have the flaws it shows us. Hapless dorks like Elizabeth Warren walk among us, and would fit-right-in to the show.

Brive1987 wrote: protein
Yesterday was fish-monger day at the outdoor market. We closed after 5 hours, after selling-out of every bit of Cod, Black Sea Bass, Flounder, Tuna, Sea Scallops, Whiting, Monkfish, Skate, Porgy, Weakfish, Squid, Oyster, Clam, Razor Clam, Whelks, and the solitary Butterfish caught. Which sucks for me, because GF & I didn't set-aside any fish for ourselves this time. I was really looking forward to repeating last week's experience of living on fish protein & greens for half a week after market day. Felt great.

One reason we sold out-- was the fishing vessel was boarded by the Coast Guard. It happens. Everybody gets boarded. The Coast Guard found a violation, so they seized that run's catch. According to the coast guard, the fishing net-- which is, like, 3 miles long-- was 1/4 inch too wide. So the boat is also grounded until Capt replaces the net.

Fuel prices are way-up, for the boat & the delivery truck. Marijuana is newly-legalized in nyc, so the capt & crewman shared a joint in our empty booth. I opted for a tobacco cig, still illegal in the park. Most customers still wear masks, but some don't. I think I got some piercing looks from the lackeys who run the market-- for unloading & loading with my mask off... but it's hard to tell. Because they're wearing masks & so many people walk-around with judgy-mad eyes all the time, anyway. The curbs & crannies of NYC are full of wet litter, homeless droppings-- much more than usual. The subway service home was slow, but no violence or homeless people sleeping across 5 seats on trains (a constant sight last year). Back in Chinatown, the Chinese lady who sells us the Chinese Newspaper... was badly beaten & robbed after asking someone to put on a mask in her store. Store has been closed for days, afterward. My recovery-time-- from a short, early day of work-- is now quite poor. The night was damp, and noisy with people outside. Shitty 'urban' music from cars is louder than ever. Lots of recently-dead-at-50 rapper DMX playing. Hard to tell if the people yelping in the street were happy drunks or angry druggies.

As long as I'm typing this mundane report... the day before GF returned to the sort-of-work we did pre-covid. A housewares company has rented an Air B'n'B for a couple months. They're decorating the interior to showcase their wares & offer customers a chance to win a vacation-stay in the apartment. GF's pay rate has jumped from $400 to $750 to $1000 per day, as it becomes obvious that the marketing agency middlemen (all women) are only qualified to attend Zoom meetings and wave facetime phones around the empty apartment. They can't haggle with the doormen or loading dock guys, figure out what to buy or do to paint a 700 square foot studio apartment. They can barely order lunch for the crew. They can make sure everyone takes a 7-page diversity inclusiveness sensitivity mini-course. They can demand workers fill-out paperwork showing they carry their own individual liability insurance-- until they are told every single worker has been not-working for a year/ and nobody kept-up their insurance/ do you want this job done or not? GF's pay rate was absurd at $400 let alone $1000... especially since the work she's doing on the apartment is about-at college students decorating-their-first-place level. The doormen told the marketing girls they couldn't bring in a ladder over 3 steps tall... without extra proof of insurance. (What part of 'bribe the fucking doorman' don't they understand?) So no one could reach the top few inches of wall, to paint. So I was called in to finish the job. Except the sun went down & the empty apartment had no built-in lights-- so who-knows if I did a good job. They ordered some tacos & guacamole for me & GF... from some place where the bill was $100.

Blundering, inflation, mismanagement, litter, incompetence, feral have-nots, government bureaucrats... business as usual.

White rice (cooked) mixed with mashed banana and bacon (lightly fried) and with a runny fried egg on top. Now that is heaven.

South Park's "South ParQ Vaccination Special" was mostly a joyless chore to watch.

I like the creators' unorthodox attitude, but I rarely watch the show. Maybe I disliked the episode because of a gap between my view of Covid & theirs.

For most of the episode, my mind wandered-- I kept imagining the writers having a meeting... to decide-on the nature of the 'pandemic' within the show's reality. Deadly? Overblown? Hoax? They couldn't passively replicate the prevailing won't-get-you-banned-on-facebook opinion-- because that was a wildly moving target:

The last regularly-produced South Park episode was December 11, 2019.

Then the first episode of "Season 24" was the "Pandemic Special" on September 30, 2020.

And episode 2 of "Season 24" was this "Vaccination Special" on March 10, 2021.

In the past, the show was famously-able to satirize real-world events occurring the same week an episode aired.

Now, there's far too much real-world lunacy transpiring between episodes.

For example, the way they handled QAnon was some of the funnier/cleverer stuff in the episode, but it felt hacky & dated. Too late to matter.

Plain white rice wrapped in a pancake. It's so yummy and nutritious, that's all Greta Thunberg has eaten for the past nine years.

Some stereotypes have an element of truth to them. For example - it's often said that we British folk have horrible teeth. However, this stereotype is clearly bullshit.

After seeing this, I don't see how anyone can doubt that internalised multi-racial white supremacy is the greatest problem facing America today.
