Not sure where he posted this, but this video is what got the ginger jihadi I mentioned on the previous page caught:

Some sharp eyed FBI dude saw it and contacted the RCMP that were able to stop him from killing any innocents so I think there can be good in not just shutting these guys down.

Yeah I see how it's a good way to start following people. Person follows ISIS on facebook and then the FBI now has someone they know they should watch for a while.

The poor bastard was the bread winner for both Carrier and cuck-woman. Appears the external report authors were poorly briefed. Or maybe they were briefed to perfection......

But I imagine all are now ruing Amanda and Carrier's bogan great adventure.

What exactly has Carrier touched that did not transfigure to shit-vomit?

Looks like we missed this.

https://secularstudents.org/node/6679
In connection with allegations made by a former SSA student member with respect to a former Speakers Bureau speaker, SSA conducted an inquiry into the sufficiency of our internal policies, procedures, and processes in handling such matters as part of our commitment to prioritizing the safety of our student members. After an in-depth review, it was determined that SSA will make improvements in the interest of continuing to protect the safety and well-being of SSA students. We deeply regret any flaws in the prior process that did not reach the high standard that the SSA aspires to in this aspect of our mission.

As an initial step, a special SSA task force on sexual harassment policies and procedures will make recommendations for improvement in handling and prevention, and we look forward to sharing new plans that will further support our mission of serving SSA students. We encourage any students with input to share to contact taskforce@secularstudents.org, and report of violations to SSA policies should be directed to violations@secularstudents.org. The SSA will await the recommendations of the task force to comment on potential changes to policies and procedures.

In regard to the precipitating issue, Richard Carrier was appropriately removed from the Speakers Bureau for violating the fraternization policy, which is a sufficient basis for removal of a speaker. This violation has been public knowledge, admitted by the accused, so the SSA does not consider commenting on the action taken in response to be releasing privileged information. In general, the SSA as an organization cannot litigate the validity of claims in the public domain. We take student complaints seriously, and we will continue to use all information at our disposal to improve our internal processes in the interest of student comfort and safety. In service of this priority, the SSA reserves the right to remove speakers from the Bureau for any violation of SSA policy or no stated reason at all.

We will continue to prioritize the well-being of SSA students as we move forward, and we appreciate the support of those helping us to strive to continually improve our processes.
This is bullshit. The investigation report doesn't seem to have been released, and they don't mention that Carrier kept speaking for the SSA after he was removed from the Bureau. AND Carrier just said that SSA told him he could keep speaking and fucking, just not on the Bureau.

SJW atheists have been immoral.

This should be a broader lesson to nonbelievers: Atheism is insufficient without skepticism, and NEVER trust a moral scold, even a nominally godless one.

But really, skepticism nets you atheism for free. You can't be truly skeptic and not be an atheist. But as we've seen it's easy to be a credulous atheist in love with woo and nonsense.

But while we are at it, we should tell carrier that there is a job opening. It looks like he could use the extra income.

There should just be a general policy that if you wish to say controversial things on social media, you should not in any way link your social media accounts to your employer's name. Let's just use some common sense here.

Nearly half of all marriages end in divorce. I would expect that cheating would be high up there on the list. It is so common, the only time people care is if that person might be a potential dating prospect, or if they have made part of their career out of eulogizing on morality. This is why family values republican's get dinged, for being secretly gay or cheating on their spouse, but democrats don't. It matters to their voter base.

But hand me an openly gay republican, and no one will care. Rule #1 of politics. Don't be a fucking hypocrite, and try to push your hypocrisy on everyone else.

I'd rather encourage them to be as loud and stupid as possible so I'd know not to financially support them.

Not that another ME game was high on my wishlist after 3, which not only left a sour taste on my mouth but also wrapped up the primary story meaning another sequel would just be an unrelated story banking on the name.

The real lesson of the Atheism Plus/FTB fiasco, at least to me, is that moralists with an authoritarian streak are always a danger, no matter their ideas.

Also I may be callous but I don't really care think it's my job to care about somebody else's marital infidelity. I think that's a private matter between the cheater, their spouse and the third (or more) person involved. Of course it's funny to see a moralist revealed to be a hypocrite, and if they do spill the beans in public they're just going to get other people's attention, but I think that some issues are called personal issues for a reason.

I think that in general as a society we care way too much about other people's personal life.

Yep. Loads of people cheat on their spouses. Only people who are involved in personal relationship with them care unless they've been pontificating about morality.

The truth about morality is that it's a guideline to reduce harm and suffering, not a path to sainthood. It's good to reduce conflict if possible, to try not to hurt others if you can, and to follow some rules to keep your personal and professional life in order. But no one is always going to do the right thing, and no one has the right to castigate others from a position of moral infallibility.

Screw ups happen. Mistakes happen. Over-reactions, dumb ideas, failures to control yourself or communicate well happen. Nobody is "pure". At the same time most people have some degree of standards. Very few people (compared to the rest of society, not in absolute terms) are so dangerous that they need to be locked up. Most of us are morally average.

Also laws and the justice system exist to fight crime and try to reduce it, not to improve the moral nature of the average citizen. Any ideology which preaches a large-scale moral improvement through legally sanctioned punishment is only a thinly veil of justification for authoritarianism.

Just did a search for other people's NMS animal pics, and I asked if any of them (just the buff ones) wanted to meet you. This one immediately spread its legs and said it wanted to meet you...

Well, I'm not going to do much jousting. I'm playing the explorer style. Hey, I know, I'll just play the game twice as much and half of the exploring will be on your behalf, and I'll throw in any fighting I have to do to survive as well. It's going to be a hard promise for me to fulfill playing the game twice as much as I was planning, but I will do my best! :D

There are three main ways to play, or any mix you want, although people will lean towards one of the three. They are fighting, trading, and exploring. I'm exploring. Everyone does need to do a little of each category to survive though, no matter what their main enjoyment is. I'm going to have to shoot some things even though I'd rather not get into any fights at all. I'll have to defend myself against animals that sometimes attack, and space pirates, and overly trigger happy sentinels on some planets. There are also three "paths" in the game that players' early choices will determine for them, each path with its own ending to the game, probably all connected in the game's unfolding lore, though. I'm not sure if those three paths line up with the three gameplay styles though, or if they are a different set of three ways to play the game. I'm starting to think they are different based on someone's gameplay I saw streamed today.

If you live in a swing state, I can't see how abolishing the electoral college and getting these fucking pols to leave your state alone couldn't be near the top of your wish list.
Ohio is a swing state. And, as the home of SSA and Camp Quest, it's also a swinger state.

Hmmm, not sure I agree. Cheating is a form of lying, and I think it's fine to state that lying to others about important matters isn't trivial, even if it doesn't affect you directly. Clinton's affairs affected nobody but those "involved", but spoke very poorly of his character. Character matters, at least to me. He shouldn't have been impeached, but it does speak to trustworthiness.

I am probably absolutely alone on this, but there it is. If a person will cheat on their spouse, they'll cheat on deals, money and any other form of trust. YMMV, IMHO, etc

You've just hidden Anne Frank in your attic in 1942 in the Netherlands. And the Nazis come knocking on your door asking if you've seen a young girl that matches the description of Anne to a T. Do you lie or not?

The problem is in anathematizing lying, in making strictures against it into absolutes, with no consideration of other ethical imperatives that might justifiably carry greater weight.

This is exactly why I am only willing to cheat on my spouse with women named "Anne Frank". My conscience is clear.

I saw on FB that Trump allegedly stated ISIS was the creation of Obama/Clinton. Of course, fury is deployed by Clinton supporters.

BUT, here in France it's the prevailing theory of the regressive/far Left. ISIS is solely a creation of the US and Israel (because of course, always Israel).

Fucking politics, right?

Yea. But you might take a look at this:
2012 Defense Intelligence Agency document: West will facilitate rise of Islamic State “in order to isolate the Syrian regime”
I have no idea how accurate it might be. But considering that Saudi Arabia is an "ally" of the US, and that there's probably a hair's breadth of difference between the Islam of Saudi Arabia and that of ISIS, it seems hard not to put at least some credence in that "theory".

I agree it's a big possibility, and I'm not going to discuss the subject itself much. I just find it amusing that in the end both Trump and his direct opposite are saying the same thing. It's just a general observation on politics.

The report is also very concerned that a Sunni state would fuck Iraq up further ...
.
A Sunni “Islamic State” could be devastating to “unifying Iraq” and could lead to “the renewing facilitation of terrorist elements from all over the Arab world entering into Iraqi Arena.” (see last non-redacted line in full PDF view.)

So I would hesitate before you drew firm singular conclusions about the doc's purpose - let alone giving it an 'official policy' label.

Im sure Columbus said something similar to Queen Isabella.
They're making me wait until 1 this afternoon (EST) for the game to come out. :( :( :(   :( :( :(

I got up early and excitedly sat down at the computer and steam says wait. And reddit says it's true too, I have to wait.

Oooooh, I know, I know. I'll look for a vulva-shaped flower or something, and call it "Rayshul's Perfection". Filter safe and family friendly! No one but Pitters will know it's rather rude. :D
My perfect vagina immortalised
I was going to say that I just know I'll come across your vagina somewhere out there, but that might be open to misinterpretation.

I'm also looking for some giant phallic mushrooms or whatever else that is giant and penis-like, and I'm going to name them things like "Phil, you didn't lie about that!" and "Lsuoma, you didn't lie either!" or maybe something fascist-tit-shaped for him.

I saw someone's gameplay yesterday, and he found a bouncing animal that looked just like a butt plug! I was laughing and shouting at the screen for the guy to be careful he doesn't slip and fall and sit on it by accident. Unless he wants to of course. That thing was just begging for a silly name.

Alex has come out of hibernation to describe how he vandalised the branding of a Patheos blog

http://archive.is/wbTPJ

This from a dude whose Twitter feed literally choked itself on gaming bs:
last autumn he hired me to give his blog a new look. I’ve been worn out over the last ten months, stretched thin between a day job and half a dozen other projects and creatively tired—all credit goes to James for showing me far more patience than I deserved—but this week I at last signed off on it.
He signed off on it?  No word on the client.

Anyway Gabs takes many hundreds of words to explain how he hand fashioned this beauty.

I would love to immortalize you in NMS!!! You are one of my favourite people here. I need some hints though. A sea filled planet would fit in good with your seafaring avatar, but that's all I can think of. Do you have any favourite weather conditions or colours or anything like that?

I'm keeping an eye out for certain things, like hoping to find a planet with pink air and red trees for some footage to put to the B-52s song "Planet Claire", and some other stuff for other songs. Lists of things to watch for - I have them!
