Where is the Slymepit FAQ/suggestion.

Post by Skwiggs »

Even though I've already broken standard netiquette of posting before reading the FAQ... Just where is the FAQ? I've found the generic phpBB FAQ but nothing specifically about the Slymepit. I checked for stickies at the start of the undead thread and at the start of this board, and a few other places, to no avail. I don't know how i could miss it with so few threads but... it's possible

From the time I've spent lurking here, I've noticed you all do things quite a bit differently than other boards. (good thing) So I need to ask. Can the basics of how to appropriately join the convo be stickied somewhere? (top of this board makes sense to me)

Or are there really no rules to put up? It seems a bit drastic to ask people to read the entire (now 4 part) undead thread before adding to it. (standard netiquette default rule)

AFAIK just comparing you guys to a normal forum could be incendiary. If so, I deserve it, so bring it, but I'd really like to know the basics of this place.

Virtually no rules. Do what you want. If someone doesn't like what you do, they'll let you know...

Well one thing that can get you banned here is posting CP. Don't do anything that is illegal!

Also don't doxx anyone, not even people we all seem to dislike. By "doxxing" I mean posting information that compromises someone's pseudonymity (their real name, their home or work addresses or telephone numbers etc.). This holds true even if that information is easily available via google search. You can say that it's easily available, but don't actually post it here!

Pretty much everything else is okay, but be aware that posters are ornery and "Fuck off!" is a term of affection. That shouldn't stop you, you can be ornery right back at them, just don't be surprised or take it personally. Most activity takes place in the active PToS thread, though there's no reason for you not to participate in other threads.
