Freeland, who strongly supports Ukraine and is a major critic of Russia’s seizure of the Crimea, suggested to journalists that the articles about her grandfather were part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

The Globe and Mail also reported that an official in Freeland’s office denied the minister’s grandfather was a Nazi collaborator.

Paul Grod, president of the Canadian Ukrainian Congress told the Globe and Mail. “Fake news, disinformation and targeting different individuals. It is just so outlandish when you hear some of these allegations – whether they are directed at minister Freeland or others.”

Well it actually isn’t so outlandish. Michael Chomiak was a Nazi collaborator.

The Ukraine Archival Records held by the Province of Alberta has a whole file on Chomiak, including his own details about his days editing the newspaper Krakivski Visti. Chomiak noted he edited the paper first in Crakow (Cracow), Poland and then in Vienna. The reason he edited the paper in Vienna was because he had to flee with his Nazis colleagues as the Russians advanced into Poland. (The Russians tended to execute collaborators well as SS members).

So what was the Krakivski Visti? It, like a number of publications, had been seized by the Nazis from their Jewish owners and then operated as propaganda outlets.

Here is what the Los Angeles Holocaust Museum has to say about Krakivski Visti and a similar newspaper, Lvivski Visti, both publications associated with the Nazi regime.

“The editorial boards carried out a policy of soliciting Ukrainian support for the German cause,” the Holocaust Museum noted. “It was typical, within these publications, to not to give any accounts of the German genocidal policy, and largely, the editions resorted to silencing the mass killing of Jews in Galicia. Ukrainian newspapers presented the Jewish Question in light of the official Nazi propaganda, corollary to the Jewish world conspiracy.”

“In 1943 and 1944, both Lvivski Visti and Krakivski Visti hailed the German-approved formation of the 14th Waffen SS Division Halychyna, composed of Ukrainian volunteers,” the museum pointed out.

So much for Russian disinformation.

On Wednesday the Globe and Mail reported that, “Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland knew for more than two decades that her maternal Ukrainian grandfather was the chief editor of a Nazi newspaper.”

Because his first reaction is 'My prior speculation is confirmed!' Only *after* that phase... does he see the ways the actual-events differ from his assumptions. To his credit-- his final verdict does eventually catch-up.

The obvious example would be JP's prescient objection to Compelled Pronouns. Unfortunately, his predictions failed to realize how fully-captured academia was. So he spent years trying to salvage it. Only in 2022 has he expressed that academia is an opponent he seeks to vanquish.

In this case-- the workingman truckers pushing-back & Trudeau's tinpot response... confirmed JP's preconceptions. So he felt confident in advising the truckers on how they should proceed. And... his initial advice was rather weak. He prematurely told them that they had won a symbolic victory... and they should pack-up & go-home at the peak of their popularity/ rather than stick-around & risk being framed as an annoyance... or goaded into behaving-like villains. Had the trucker's heeded that advice... it woulda seemed-like both they & Trudeau were sorta-reasonable/sorta-unreasonable. By standing their ground & acting-like the normal decent people they are... the truckers goaded Trudeau into revealing his Inner Khrushchev. The stark contrast is jaw-dropping. And this video is Jordan Peterson dropping his jaw.

Halfway thru the vid... JP expressed a lot of "What the bloody heck?!" And Rex Murphy shook his head and told old-man stories of "It didnt' used-to be this way." And I wondered whether they were being entirely genuine. Were they truly out-of-touch boomers whose conventional imaginations weren't equipped to comprehend "Why Is Trudeau Doing This?!" Or were they being willfully-blind to the answer? Because-- acknowledging the apparent answer comes-with a cost. The 'Cathedral'... the managerial-elite coalition of govt & media & academia & comfy white-collar-business-class progressive-minded people-who-look-like-Trudeau ...they have already poisoned-the-well against the apparent-answer. They've framed it as alt-right racist caveman cryptofacist dumdum alex-jones 'conspiracy theorist' 'Trump' stuff. Outside the Overton Window. And-- like I said-- Jordan Peterson sees that class as his peers. He's loathe to climb-in to the coffin they've already prepared for him... over the last 5 years.

These powers are necessary not only to stop the current convoy, but to stop any possible future convoy. The Canadian Senate still has to approve it.

They love her dearly, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her, except for one thing:

She is unvaccinated.

We’ve been slow to confront the situation, but with Omicron spreading widely in our community, we’re torn about whether we can continue to allow her to work for us.

Our after-school babysitter comes from a minority community with an understandably low trust in government and the medical profession.
Her community has been skeptical of the vaccine and has one of the lowest vaccination rates in our city. Over time, her family has been vaccinated.

But she has been influenced by online misinformation about the vaccine’s impact on fertility and possible allergic reactions.

Rapid tests are free and easily available here, so she has been testing twice weekly.
But the risk calculus feels like it has changed due to the infectiousness of Omicron.

Still, we are heartsick about the idea of firing her. And firing someone because they make a choice about their personal medical care feels like an expression of white supremacy, even if this choice affects us.

Never mind that vaccines are less protective against Omicron and so less effective in stopping the virus’s spread.

My head is telling me that we must tell her we don’t feel comfortable allowing someone who is unvaccinated to care for our children, but my heart is troubled. Name Withheld

Kristen Nordlund, a spokeswoman for the CDC, said the agency has been slow to release the different streams of data ‘because basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.’

She said the agency’s ‘priority when gathering any data is to ensure that it’s accurate and actionable,’ and told The New York Times that they were concerned it might be misinterpreted to show the vaccines were ineffective.

She also said that they were reluctant to publish the data because it represents only 10 percent of the population of the United States – accounting for 33 million people – even though it’s the same sample size the CDC has used to track influenza for years.

Tomorrow & the next day-- GF has 2 more days with the same company/ different manager. The client will be a hair-extension company-- doing some sort of promotional exhibition for #influencers. I haven't-heard what the event gimmick will be. Instead of the lonely fatgirl manager-- this time it's a lonely drunkgirl manager. She's a regular at the only local bar I infrequently-frequent. (I drink free/ no vax card check). She wears big Jackie O. hangover sunglasses & a long black overcoat... like some '90's gal... Winona Ryder or Janeane Garofalo. Every time GF or me walk on-site, she blurts out "Thank god!" ...which is a compliment/ but she's just relieved we're not YOUNG.

These 3 days of nonsense work + the gold handtruck... pays our rent + groceries for a month or two.

The leader of that party does what he wants, when he wants, and no one dares question him. Would a Prime Minister Trudeau arbitrarily whip the vote and outlaw certain moral questions? Could Prime Minister Trudeau be trusted to make decisions for the good of the country, not just for his personal self-worth? Would Trudeau call in the police to enforce his vision? Let's hope we never have the opportunity to ask those questions.

It's becoming clearer as the days of Trudeau's Liberals wear on: if elected Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau would turn Canada into a dictatorship...

This is the man who admitted he "admires China's basic dictatorship." .... And it's becoming clearer that Trudeau not only admires the dictatorship -- he runs the Liberal Party like one too.

How else can one explain the police-enforced acclamation of Andrew Leslie as the Liberal candidate for Orleans? Even with hundreds of Liberals attending the meeting to show their support for another candidate (and former Trudeau leadership rival), it was clear from the beginning that Leslie was Trudeau's hand-picked favourite, and certainly wouldn't be stopped by pesky processes like "democracy."

Just the imagery of Trudeau's chosen candidate being selected with police intervention is scary... The nomination in Orleans is only the latest rigged "open nomination." Despite Trudeau's promises to actually, you know, practice democracy, at least a half dozen Liberal nominations have been rigged or tampered with through the direct intervention of Trudeau's office: mysteriously disqualifying candidates, changing nomination dates, paperwork going "missing," and using dirty "back-room" politics to ensure the leader's candidate is chosen at any cost.

But those are only Liberal candidates; surely Trudeau would loosen his grip on his caucus colleagues once they've been elected, wouldn't he? Unfortunately, no. The Liberal caucus randomly learned one morning early last year that their leader had come up with a new diktat: that all Liberals would be expected, no, required, to vote pro-choice. When Trudeau's pathetic attempted defence (that they were "the party of the Charter," obviously missing those small sections about freedom of conscience and religion) agitated more than a few Liberal MPs, he attempted to invent some weird "grandfathering" rule. But then he went back on that too.

The result is that Liberal MPs who dare question the diktat of Trudeau are being punished. Those who dare disagree have already been punished, resigned, or indicated that they won't seek another term in office -- at least not under the iron fist of Trudeau.

Or we can look to the expulsion of those kinda-sorta-maybe "Senate Liberals," who were unilaterally expelled (but not really) by Trudeau without the slightest consultation with the Senate Liberal leadership.

The Liberal Party under Justin Trudeau has become a dictatorship. The leader of that party does what he wants, when he wants, and no one dares question him.

Now that we know that Trudeau runs his party like a dictatorship, we must ask ourselves: is there any indication he wouldn't do the same as the leader of Canada?

Would a Prime Minister Trudeau arbitrarily whip the vote and outlaw certain moral questions? Could Prime Minister Trudeau be trusted to make decisions for the good of the country, not just for his personal self-worth? Would Trudeau call in the police to enforce his vision?
