He did the bride thing in Zardoz.
Best of luck with the op(s).
They should have offered it to Rachel Dolezal.
Exactly - we need many, many more extinct flying reptiles on our screen.
Come on, Man! Malarkey. You mean socialism, like that evil democratic socialism of Scandinavia. God save us from that.jugheadnaut wrote: ↑ A metaphor I hope. The American immune system may be girding up to repel socialism and identity politics. Or maybe not. We'll find out Tuesday.
No, I mean socialism as in the thinly veiled central economic planning of the Green New Deal and turning a blind eye to violent riots as long as the participants are the right kind of people, not the vigorous capitalism with relatively large welfare states of Scandinavia.Hunt wrote: ↑Come on, Man! If these aren't real files from Hunter, how in the world did the non-mainstream press get all of the self-made Hunter Biden porn, both pictures and video? The family pictures... The selfie Hunter took before getting his meth mouth capped? Why won't the Biden campaign simply deny that the material is from H?screwtape wrote: ↑ At some point people might realise that all these conveniently found laptops owned by Hunter Biden are about as likely as the idea that doctors inflate Covid-19 deaths because they get paid $2000 extra if a patient dies of Covid-19 rather than any other disease. And that's complete and utter nonsense.
The main issue with inflated C-19 deaths is that they hugely disproportionately affect the near end-of-life population, and in most jurisdictions almost any death with a positive C-19 test is automatically considered a C-19 caused death.screwtape wrote: ↑ At some point people might realise that all these conveniently found laptops owned by Hunter Biden are about as likely as the idea that doctors inflate Covid-19 deaths because they get paid $2000 extra if a patient dies of Covid-19 rather than any other disease. All I wanted was to see a film about a French sculptor. I believe the stats in more than a few nations show spikes in non-Covid deaths which are hard to explain. The conclusion is that these deaths are almost certainly due to Covid but being ascribed to other causes. One of the features of Covid is an ability to dull the pain response so it could be that the symptoms are being masked.jugheadnaut wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 9:24 amThe main issue with inflated C-19 deaths is that they hugely disproportionately affect the near end-of-life population, and in most jurisdictions almost any death with a positive C-19 test is automatically considered a C-19 caused death.screwtape wrote: ↑ At some point people might realise that all these conveniently found laptops owned by Hunter Biden are about as likely as the idea that doctors inflate Covid-19 deaths because they get paid $2000 extra if a patient dies of Covid-19 rather than any other disease. Here's a bar chart showing the striking asymmetry of the mortality of C-19 within long term care homes vs the general population in Ontario (64% of deaths occuring in .5% of the population):
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ElqGfpYWMAY ... ame=medium
Statistics show the median stay in a long term care facility is 5 months before deaths, so we would normally expect about 40,000 LTC facility deaths between the onset of the pandemic and now. It's extraordinarily likely that the huge majority of the 2,000 or so who died with a positive C-19 diagnosis died primarily from old age, not the virus. The virus may very well have been a contributing factor in many cases, but these were people who were going to die of their next significant physical insult.
To be fair to Gaga, I think she actually twatted "What's a fracking?" and the responses to Trump seem to be focusing on his characterisation of Gaga as a famous anti-fracking activist rather than as a famous singer who is anti-fracking. Arguably a fair response although the projection of desperation and rage which tends to go with it is quite desperate in itself.Service Dog wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 11:36 pmI'm sick of this presidential race. It's almost over. It's not over yet. Here's a new atrocity:
Biden announced that Lady Gaga will appear at his Pennsylvania rally. Trump said she's an 'anti-fracking activist'.
Gaga tweeted "What's fracking?"
Test how much-- your access to information is controlled by the media and tech companies. Go search for information on whether Lady Gaga is 'an anti-fracking activist', or whether Trump is lying. See what results you get.

Don't cheat & use this info-- until after your test-- but try-again-- using the phrase 'Artists Against Fracking' and the year 2012.
Oh for the good old days when we'd hold races for the prostatectomy patients dragging their beds down the hallway by the their catheters and uribags hooked onto the bedframe. 'Come on, Mr Jones! You can do it!'
I passed the usual line of Trump flag waving demonstrators. I usually give them a thumbs down and we all have a merry laugh. Today I "just can't". I'd prefer him out of office, but the Zen mind says whatever happens happens. I've aired here before my theory that actually it's the out of power party that covertly effects more change, even if it's change with a latency. I haven't really seen anything that contradicts that. It's a very different American now than in 2016.
Can't argue with that. The out of power party has effected some real change.Hunt wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 1:16 amI passed the usual line of Trump flag waving demonstrators. And in his latest mini-podcast he describes an 'epiphany' he had, presumably subsequent to the Sullivan podcast, on where Trump gets his support. He concludes it's a reaction to rhetorical abuse from the woke identitarian sect. I think just about everybody who's pondered the issue has realized quickly this is a major factor behind his popularity. We were talking about it here during the 2016 election. But Sam just realizes it now. He's also particularly bad with Covid alarmism, just emotion gussied up with fancy words.John D wrote: ↑ OMG! Listening to this is wildly entertaining. Sam Harris and Andrew Sullivan blathering like old women about their hatred for the Donald. Haha.
