U.S. exports were $320.1 billion, while imports were $307.6 billion. The United States had a $12.5 billion trade surplus with Canada in 2016. [1] The trade relationship between the two countries crosses all industries and is vitally important to both nations’ success as each country is one of the largest trade partners of the other.
Canadians have long worried about integrating our economy too closely with the US. Trump shows us why many of us were worried.

So far Trudeau hasn't tried to destroy our economy. As for his embarrassing behavior and sucking up to the woke and the wogs, he has gone from extremely popular to not popular at all.Between Trump as your Southern neighbor, and Trudeau as your Prime Minister, you Canucks are screwed. Commiserations.
When he got elected he had the good fortune to run against Stephen Harper and had the good sense to feature the experienced, well regarded centrists in the party and sucked up to the further left types just enough to take a lot of supporters from the (SJW) NDP party.
Unfortunately, he seems to be pandering to the ethnic groups and the far left Socjus now.

Trump says he has 10 people for every job in the White House. How many sane and qualified people want to work for him though?
He asks for a pledge of loyalty. You can only hope he doesn't ask you to break the law or otherwise get embroiled in his crap and hope he pardons you after you get legally and financially busted by having to hire a lawyer and take a hit to your reputation.
And if he doesn't get you in legal trouble he undercuts you while you are trying to do your job.
He still has some adults left on the job, hopefully they won't all get run off because I can't see many of the best and brightest that want to go swimming in that septic tank.
btw, it's not reported much, but he had a well qualified candidate lined up to be ambassador to S. Korea, a job still not filled after a year and he changed his mind about taking the position.

There are loopholes to accept foreign pay for play in a legal way (like Clinton did with the Clinton foundation) but Trump is likely too dumb to use them.It is illegal for foreign entities to contribute to campaigns or for Americans to knowingly accept foreign money for political races.

One would think that Prince, with all his contacts with the CIA, the military, and foreigners would know if he was possibly breaking the law at that meeting. When asked about it he apparently lies and puts himself in legal jeopardy.
If that is the case, it would seem that he had to have done something substantially illegal to risk perjury/lying to the authorities. Why is everybody that is working for Trump telling lies? Are they hiding something, did Trump order them to, or is it a contagious disease that everyone near The Donald?

It was OK to call Trump a moron repeatedly, but Rex really crossed the line when he dissed Russia.
Tillerson also went further than the president in condemning the Russian government for its alleged role in the attempted assassination of a former Russian spy in the United Kingdom earlier this month. Tillerson said Monday that the attempted murder “clearly came from Russia” and “certainly will trigger a response."

So many examples of the Trumps and Kushners profiting from Trump's presidency. It's a weird thing, because even the outrage over it seems half-hearted, as though it was expected and they know republicans won't go against Dear Leader. The fact that it is very wrong and scandalous just get a yawn anymore.

If the Democrats are smart enough to avoid the SocJus pitfalls/purity tests and come up with a bunch of good, electable candidates for Congress and Senate come November they'll make a killing.
Hell, if the Democrats keep the SocJus shenanigans to a minimum they can absolutely gut the GOP in the next election.

Re: The Trump Dump!
The thing about this McCabe firing is that Trump and friends are spinning this to make it look like McCabe was fired because he was some sort of deep state operative that was out to get Trump. It is unclear about exactly what got him fired, but it looks like it was for he and Comey revealing that the FBI had decided to take another look at Clinton's emails just before the election. If anything this helped Trump win the election.
Apparently he had some interesting meetings with Trump while he was acting FBI director and made notes about them. Looking forward to see those made public.

Re: The Trump Dump!
Everyone who voted for Trump had a pretty good idea he was a scumbag. Most of his supporters don't care how many women he paid off. Nor do they care if he line his pockets a bit while in office. They just compare him to other politicians who get paid a million dollar to give a speech to industrialists and think... well... at least he is my crook. I don't see it as hypocrisy as much as low expectations. Many politicians run on the idea that they are moral guides for others and are a pure paladin for their constituents. I mean, look at that dumb-ass Al Frankin. He couldn't even survive a few bad jokes and an ass grab or two. But this is because of the expectations he put forward.CaptainFluffyBunny wrote: ↑ Then there's the Ben Carson thing. New emails that show attempted collusion at least. More porn stars. Another interesting thing is that Trump supporters lie all the time. When interviewed they say shit like, "Well, if Trump had sex with that woman why is she coming forward now?" They say this as a defense for themselves. They don't want to publicly admit they would not be surprised if Trump was guilty. So, they constantly defend him in public. It is just their way of coping. Trump was right when he said he could shoot someone on the street and not lose popularity.

Republicans unhappy that Trump signed the budget.
It is a shitshow of such fantastic proportions that it is difficult to keep up. But what really gets me is the rank hypocrisy. If Obama or and Democrat had done any ONE Trump scandal, there would be howls and baying for blood. Trump just slides from disaster to disaster, cocooned by people who are finding him a useful idiot. And some people are fine with this.
The early article I posted about Trump dismissing the free-speech crisis on college campuses is "overblown" because he thinks he is "very popular on college campuses" should be of concern to all. My daughter is attending college, has been visiting others, and this is simply not true outside of Liberty University and the like.

So the Stormy Daniels 60 Minutes interview is on Sunday. Place your bets- dignified silence, angry tweetstorm or distracting war.

Trump's reaction to everything is a tweetstorm.CaptainFluffyBunny wrote: ↑ https://www.politico.com/magazine/story ... ump-217702

I can already write Trump's tweets before he does:
"Lying Porn Star has hired a lawyer and demands legal protection, but she still gives interviews to the Failing CBS Media. Why is she acting like that if not to get attention and money? Who, except the Biased Media, thinks that she's sincere? Sad!"

Re: The Trump Dump!
How about this tweet:
" Fake story and fake boobs. Lying Hillary put her up to it because she lost the election by the largest margin ever. Also, she lied. Nothing wrong with the size of the equipment believe me. Biggest dick of any president, even Teddy Roosevelt. Silicone Stormy must have me mixed up with that David Dennison character. Interview was rigged."

Stormy Daniels has the most dilated pupils I have ever seen. I noticed right away.... and so did everyone else. WTF? I thought she must have contacts in or something... but that makes no sense.
