Yes, but Sargon played into the SJWs hands by giving them ammo. Whatever nuance he intended was lost as his comment was ground into outrage sausage.
So, their ammunition is outrage sausage. How is this new?

Don't answer that, it was rhetorical.

Noel is ignoring me though.

Maybe he's sick? Or sleeping?

...I know something must be wrong with him if he thought Dillahunty's video was good and worth watching!
I fucking stat through an hour and nine minutes of that bastard video. Thank you Noel... Cunt.

He usually responds to comments although there's often quite a delay.

Note: I've yet to endure the Dillahunty vid but it's on my "to do" list.

No.

Were I you, I’d work on crafting comments that make your point without sounding snide.
No snideness was intended. It seems a fair question to wonder what your opinion is of such production-side subsidies, whether you see them as examples of the same sort of governmental overreach as consumption taxes, and if not, why not?

I can't remember where I read it (or who said it) but the following sums up my thoughts on the subject...

"Government, acting on behalf of society, has a duty to regulate the action(s) of the individual if said action(s) effect society."

Seems fair enough to me. All that's left to debate are the degrees of regulation and the "tipping point" of the action-effect in question.

Tipping point...lol!

I have no way to evaluate the above tweets. Seems interesting. The tweets lead to an article that says (via Google Translate)

Thousands of Poles in Mass Pay against Islamization
An unusual mass prayer is taking place today along the Polish border - it will protect the Poles from the dangers of today.

Exactly at 14 o'clock, tens of thousands of poled poles will form a symbolic defense ring about their country - they will stand all the way across Poland's 3,500 kilometer long border and pray for a common prayer to protect Poland and Europe against the dangers of today.
One of the folks mentioned, among other things, describes what he describes as the islamization of Europe and the ensuing threat of Islamic terror:

...

One million bed?

The Catholic Church of Poland has arranged the unusual joint prayer with the support of government organizations - hoping for one million participants.

The reason for the mass prayer is the anniversary of the victory of the Christian navy over a Muslim navy exactly 446 years ago, in 1571. For many Catholics, the naval battle at the city of Lepanto, currently in Greece, is a symbol of what they would lay out as the actual the struggle between Christianity and Islam.

At the edge of the EU on refugees

The event is coming, just as the Polish government is steeper and steeper towards the EU in the question of accepting refugees. The Polish government strongly rejects the quota of 6,200 refugees the Union requires. Unlike other EU countries, Poland has not received one of the 160,000 refugees that the Union will allocate beyond the member states.

Terror fears

The Poles themselves are also skeptical of the prospect of refugees from especially Muslim countries. According to polls, three out of four poles are opposed to accepting Muslim refugees. The Poles fear terror and turmoil and that Muslims will threaten their religion, Catholicism.

35,000 Muslims live today in Poland - out of a population of 38 million Poles. This corresponds to 0.1% of the Polish population.

I wouldn't bother. Dillahunty called out the hyperbole of people on his side calling everyone Nazis. He also called them out on their "fair game" tactics and compared them to Atheism's past enemies, saying they used similar tactics. This was all solid free speach stuff.

He also accused the conference organizers of courting controversy for popularity. He may well be right, but let's be honest, there are only so many times you can listen to a list of the crimes of theism, or another rebuttal of their centuries old apologia. Even if they hadn't stuffed these conferences full of social justice bullshit for the last decade, I expect they would still be dying because there just isn't anything new. Even the Mythicist stuff is getting old now. However, Dillahunty wants to stay clear of controversy and drama and will have nothing more to do with them until they have a change of leadership. Admittedly this isn't just over the speakers list but also the way they handled some other stuff which is a bit shady.

Then he lays into Sargon. Accuses him of circular arguments, willfully misunderstands that Carl is saying that he is playing to the audience. Backhandedly accuses Carl of argumentum ad populum, despite the fact Carl was obviously talking about winning over the audience rather than the person he is arguing against. It is amazing how Dillahunty can give a one sided account of a discussion he had with Sargon that you weren't party to, and you can still figure out how Dillahunty is strawmanning him.
He then goes on to give the usual type description of how Sargon wouldn't even send rape threats.

There are some major contradictions in what Dillahunty says when you piece it all together. He says that Islam cannot be reformed because you would only end up with a slightly less dangerous bad idea. But then he defends feminism in the same way that some people defend Islam. He says there isn't one feminism, feminists all have different ideas and it is wrong to call it a mental illness, which is ironic because it was on his show that I first heard of the idea that religion is a sexually transmitted disease. Having said that feminism is not one thing, he had the nerve to say that it has good ideas like the radical notion that women are people too.

The other thing that really got me is that he attacked Sargon because Sargon had argued something along the lines of it being a fair tactic to mock and troll people when they won't listen and won't change their minds. He said that you don't know if people's minds can be changed unless you try. He also said that you should attack their arguments. But that is what we have always done, mercilessly attacked argument, knowing full well we are unlikely to change their minds, but in doing winning over the audience.
But this whole video is essentially Dillahunty flouncing off. I would think it fair to say that Matt is not going to listen, and his wife isn't going to let him change his mind. One thing we can be sure of is that Matt is going to do absolutely nothing to counter any of the arguments ever put forward by Sargon, Shoe or Armoured. He certainly won't debate them. He has called them deplorables, despicable, and having hit he will now run.

Oh, and perhaps the strangest argument he made was that Sargon's "I wouldn't even rape you" tweet wasn't consistent with Humanism. I would love to hear Dillahunty argue that.

He also insinuated that the anti-SJW crowd were driven by what makes them feel good (hate), and essentially put feelings before facts.

I wouldn't waste your time. I am really not sure that Noel found of value in it.

You probably know about the SJW infestation at Marvel Comics. Well, it might have spread to Image Comics as well:

NYCC Announcement: INFIDEL—a new horror series that explores Islamophobia

This tautly-woven new series tackles controversial topics in race and racism and how it can affect people from different cultures.
Because Islam is a race.

The writer's name is Pornsak Pichetshote, which might be the funniest name ever.

I just saw Peez's tweet announcing that blog article posted here earlier. His descent into crackpottery has gone into free fall.

Current comment counts on his front page:

8, 4, 10, 10, 9, 2, 27, 34, 18.

No wonder he gave up the skeevy ads without complaint - he doesn't need the income. Any midlevel hosting plan can deliver today's FtB without strain.

He's fucked himself out of every perk he enjoyed as an atheist/skeptic bigfoot. Holy shit

I'm guessing there's a lot of turnover in their audience, with the pipeline mostly fed by annual cadres of young, new apostates. A significant portion of the regulars are probably virgin neckbeards who -- provided Shermer is not in the room -- actually have a non-trivial chance of finally getting laid. (cf. 'Attention: The Lauren Lane Express will be leaving the station in two minutes. All aboard!')
Even the Mythicist stuff is getting old now.
Since all they ever seem to do is trot out over & over Sticky Dicky and that moronic hack, Dave Fitzgerald, what passes for mythicism at these cons is, in fact, a very small pile of dog shit.
There are some major contradictions in what Dillahunty says when you piece it all together.
Never paid much attention to Dillahunty, but he seems like a lazy thinker and is definitely a long-winded blowhard. That he is also trotted out over & over speaks volumes on the vapidness of the atheist con circuit.

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, the most popular part of his site by a fucking mile is an ongoing thread where people post anything vaguely anti-Trump they've stumbled across.

And it's run entirely by one of The Herd!

It gets better...

Meyers recently stopped comments on that thread from appearing on his front page "recent comments" sidebar because most of the time the whole top ten recent comments list was from that one thread, and none of his own. Can't you just imagine his seething anger watching that happen, week after week, and how he would've burst one day and just shut it down.

Another thread that is getting hosed by this "glitch" is Caine's never ending thread.

This is a test. I have a suspicion the “Recent Comments” sidebar is no longer showing comments in this c.15 days old thread. If correct, it suggests the threshold is 14 days; that is, comments in threads older than 14 days are not shown in the sidebar.

My@116 test confirmed: That comment does not appear in the “Recent Comments” sidebar. I have attempted to inform the owner of this blog.

Fuck, a fortnight? That’s it? Well hell. I’ll leave to everyone here to decide -- do you all want a new thread every 2 weeks?
I gather the official line is the "glitch" began not long ago when another glitch was fixed. It is all a mystery! :shifty:

"Ass trickle"? I would imagine there are not many more glowing terms of praise in Zinnia's Lollaplugoozer world.

I still enjoy comics - but I don't think the industry owes me anything.

If they seriously fuck up - then there's plenty of stuff from the past I can read / or re-read - or switch to Euro / Manga stuff - or pulps etc.

I'm sure that someone is writing their thesis on gynocentrism in popular entertainment as we speak (perhaps even in cartoon form) - but that's not the sort of thing I find entertaining.

People can vote with their wallets - so it does not seem that big a concern to me. With the current push back against SJWs in the media - I'm sure that someone besides Bosch Fawstin (ex-muslim creator of such comics as 'The Infidel' and 'Pigman') will be there to give the audience what they want.

Censor nothing - and let a thousand flowers bloom.

I am not sure if this will interest anyone other than Steersman. The media has somehow failed to notice 30,000 football hooligans supporters and ex-servicemen marching through Londinistan for the third time in protest at Islam extremism.
I am not sure if this is reassuring or very worrying. In the long term, I can't see things ending well... not for muslims anyway, I wouldn't want to be in their flip-flops.
Listen to the rhetoric, it's fighting talk.

Am I right to be suspicious that our very left-wing MSM has failed to tear into this, especially as Tommy Robinson is there? Only The Socialist Worker has given negative coverage with the Independent being balanced, the Evening Standard and Daily Mail being positive.

Zinnia isn't one to talk, seeing as the only thing xe's reassigned is the prevailing direction of flow of traffic on zir Hershey Highway.

Zoe Quinn is in a stomping rage and Dan Lyons is grovelling with apologies, all because he asked Milo Y in an email if she was trans or biological.

We're told all the time to never ASSUME anyone's gender, so what's the problem with asking? There's no shame in being mistaken for trans, but that hasn't lessened the dogpile on Lyons. Justice warriors are so happy to be angry they never wonder if they should be angry. :?

And the fatwa was the catalyst that made Hitchens sour on the Left. He would've been blisteringly angry at these Twitter idiots.

I've been hearing on the grapevine that are some high up Lefties who are starting to realize that being positive on Brexit and supporting the working class again could be the closest Labour comes to having a chance to have a proper socialist government in the UK again.

There's always been a strain of anti-EU sentiment on the Left in the UK (there's a great video on Youtube of Tony Benn railing against it years ago), and there were even rumours that Corbyn himself is privately of that ilk, although of course they can't really admit that openly quite yet.

But I think anyone with common sense would realize Labour have a great opportunity here, if only they have the balls to go for it. Timing is everything though.

Of course it would literally be a national socialist government, but what the hey :)

I fucking stat through an hour and nine minutes of that bastard video. Thank you Noel... Cunt.
He usually responds to comments although there's often quite a delay.

Note: I've yet to endure the Dillahunty vid but it's on my "to do" list.
Wait what? You are going to watch a video by "Facts Do Not Matter" Dillahunty? Some real self-sacrifice there.

Fuck that shit - I grew up in the Medway Towns - the official Pit club is the Gills.

Also, I've just finished listening to Led Zeppelin, and am now on Led Zep II. Fuck, but these are brilliant albums, after which everything except Physical Graffiti are shit.

Also also, Bonzo and Moonie were great drummers, but the best ever was Ginger Baker. Watch "Beware of Mr Baker" for a great experience...

If you want to get a convincing - to the FT at least - story of why Comrade Corbyn and Labour (who appear to the FT to be under the control of Seamus Milne and John McDonnell) were against remaining in the EU, read this: https://www.amazon.com/All-Out-War-Brit ... 01I9AEIPU/

Would you expect any less?

I didn't see any Scottish teams represented. But I heard the Orange Order were represented, and there was even a contingent from the Gurkha Rifles. I haven't confirmed but apparently they had a speaker from the Police.

I thought 30k might be a bit of an exaggeration, but that might be a low estimate. When you think that the average attendance of London's Premier league clubs is around 55k, the estimates of 70k on this march are not beyond the realms of possibility.

It seems they were protested by a tiny handful of aging communists... Antifa decided to stay in bed.

Peart rhymes with Heart (Nancy and Ann Wilson). Also rhymes with with stupid gay Scottish poof. (In Klingon. Probably.)
