I know it sounds callous, but think about refugees from Nazi Germany: wouldn't have it looked weird if the young "Aryan" German refugeees vastly outnumbered the Jews?

I'm not saying that you shouldn't let young men in, but surely the members of targeted groups should have some precedence over those who are less likely to be targeted.

It's possible that a considerable numbers of refugees may actually have left Syria or Iraq for economical reasons. Again I'm not saying that no one of them sholud never be let in , but they should be vettered more carefully, and admitted with more restrictions, than Christians or Yazidis or women or families.

Opening the gates to anyone who claims to be a refugee with little to no screening and no selective policies or quotas isn't the smartest choice.
