The best and brightest inter-sectional feminists happily accept trans-gendered women as 'women'. I don't believe sex reassignment is a necessary component.

If you had to determine the gender of a non reassigned trans-woman (Turing style - via a terminal) - what 5 SJ approved personal questions could you ask?

Obviously "do you identify as a man/woman, are you oppressed by men? Are you a lesbian" begging the question probes are out.

Would they really resort to socially constructed badges of oppression (pink/perfume/dress) as positive indicators? Or is there a secret I'm not in on?

This is seriously doing my head in.

Of course. Don't worry, I wouldn't dox. I don't know how to link a google search without a shitload of additional data; feel free to google "Daniel Waddell freethought blogs".

Of course, there may be two completely different Waddells. A Dan and a Daniel. One never knows. Perhaps they are identical twins who had sadists for parents.

A "The hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear."
Seriously????
I saw that and I think Caitlyn really puts everything into perspective. Sure, some women die in honor killings. Their fathers bash in their brains as they use their last energy to reach out to him, begging for love and mercy.

But goddammit, society forced Caitlyn from learning about fashion at gunpoint until she was in her sixties.

Some women wonder how to get to school without some Muslim putting a hole in their head. Some women wonder if those Jimmy Choos go with that Stella McCartney.
 I think that is why so many feminists, particularly of Benson's stripe or time, object to Jenner: he is, as Greer succintly put it, just a "ghastly parody" of a "woman", and not even of "woman" (whatever that is apart from the biological bedrock) but of a rather silly and restrictive stereotype of one.

Yup. College fees have swollen to epic proportions, yet somehow these clowns have gotten little pushback for derailing curriculums. And come January, everyone will have to find time to attend obligatory "diversity" training.

The same shit is going on at Ithaca College, students are trying to run the president off.

Same big midwestern university: there were 2 student newspapers. I wrote music reviews in the more-liberal paper, so I could get free cds. And because I read Motorbooty magazine & 'Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung', so I thought I was Lester Bangs. I wrote under a punkish pseudonym: Carmen Monoxide. I thought I was clever.

This was during the 90's beef between East Coast & West Coast rappers. I reviewed a CD by a group from Compton.
I was a member of a rap group, back in NY. I questioned the mythos of Compton, pointing out that the most famous person born there was Kevin Costner. I thought it was lazy and unfunny that a long intro began with the sound of piss splashing and a dude groaning with relief.

Around that time, there was a kerfuffle about a lukewarm review of a musical performance. Maybe it was a white classical music major panning an afrocentric acapella act, like Zap Mama. Something like that. The newspaper announced a SJW policy-- that first refusal would be given to writers of the same identity-politics group as the musicians being reviewed. SJW Segregation! (And Zap Mama is from fucking Belgium.)

The newspaper came out. My Compton rap review wasn't in it. I had a feeling I had been politically-corrected. I put on rumpled torn clothes and messed up my hair, wanting to look a bit crazy & dangerous. I poured some beer on myself. I went down to the newspaper office. The little white girl music editor with fetal posture, like a question mark, said she had shown my review to a basketball sportswriter, to make sure it was racially approved by a genuine black person. She said he nixed it. I asked her to point out what was objectionable, but she said somehow it had gotten lost from the newspaper's computer network.

I went looking for the guy, to make him defend censoring me. He had brought his new pitbull puppy to the office & it fled afraid, when I came stomping their way. I demanded he explain himself. He said, "Hey, I was shocked when she highlighted your entire piece & hit delete." I was 100% sure he was telling the truth. She had cowardly blamed a black guy for her censorship, and could have easily started a fistfight between us. I told the guy she had set us up against each other. I quit the paper, never saw him again. I probably walked-out with all the free cds on her desk.

A few years later I saw her on a ny subway. She was looking for editing jobs. I worked at a big publishing house, but fuck her.

Are you referring to any particular interview or writing from Erin Pizzey where she talks about this aspect?
She usually goes into this stuff in longer interviews where she relates her experiences in starting what became the womens' shelter industry, the usurpation by feminists and the denial of the truth about domestic violence. Although she was not very specific, I have heard her mention an influential feminist meeting in New York where it was agreed that feminism was going to push a Marxist ideology with the patriarchy concept replacing capitalism. I believe she has written a book or two about this stuff and the intimidation she's been subjected to.

Waitaminute... I'm not really paying attention to this Caitlyn Jenner thing.... is the new hubbub that she said the hardest part of being a woman is deciding what to wear? And bats like Ophelia Benson are flapping-mad... because Jenner didn't say the hardest-part is something like 'not being able to get an abortion in Iraq', or whatevs?

I'm probably greatly ninja'd-- if I point-out that Jenner is being honest about what's the hardest part for a rich, famous, tv star. And, also, he's sorta saying it's the part the comes least-naturally. Which... don't tons of respected feminists say 'performing femininity' is a huge, unnatural burden for women?

Also-- there's an essay in The Cultural Studies Reader. I've probably posted from-it previously... about how Feminism requires women-- as part of "identifying as" a woman-- to "identify with" women who are less and less like themselves. So an able-bodied, college-educated white suburban US soccer mom-- is supposed to 'identify with' a legless illiterate pygmy HIV+ hermaphrodite sex slave in the Congo.

So Jenner's sjw thoughtcrime is identifying-with her own actual experience too-much, and not pretending to relate to more oppressed women.

It's a bit disappointing that he doesn't draw the pretty obvious conclusion as to why media aren't focusing on the truly bad aspects of the SJW culture...

Big parts of the media has been the SJW's accomplishes in many of the most toxic and vile witch hunts, has defended the SJWs from attacks, and has been helping the SJWs in their push for totalitarian legislation and policies. Oftentimes just for pure profit - SJW controversies drive clicks - but also, many journalists can themselves be called SJWs or at least be accused of fully having bought the identity politics kool-aid.

It's going to be a cold day in hell before media start criticizing the shit they themselves have pushed. Instead, they're going to focus on the easy shit, the stuff that already fits into their pre-existing narrative ("Students be crazy again!").

Also, call me cynical, but it strikes me as highly likely that a big reason as to why this story has blown up in mainstream media is because this time, the SJWs were stupid enough to attack media - and the media retaliated. It seems to me that there have been plenty of other occasions where stupid SJW college kids have been cough on camera shouting inane SJW bullshit and behaving like SJWs - but against "wrongthink" perons, not journalists - and those videos then went viral, without "serious" media bothering to write even a line about it.

I dunno, maybe one could argue that there are exonerating differences in this case, but... yeah I dunno.

Personally I don't mind so much though - ridicule is the most effective way of dealing with these people (as the Pit quite amply has demonstrated). They don't respond well to rational arguments, but social stigma and society starting to see these people are the totalitarian fuckwits that they are? That's going to put a damper on them, after all they are only as powerfull as society lets them be - and if society stop taking these people seriously, if they get showed into the same corner that creationists and Christian moralists already occupy, then their influence goes bye-bye.

I'd love to see media start really laying into the SJWs, for real, just not the trigger warnings and safe space parts, but the whole totalitarian feminism/identity politics bullshit ideology - but I'll take this... for now.

Almost time for Christina Rad's annual December blog posting.

If FtB cut that deadwood they could also spare the time to remove Reasonable Doubts which has ended its podcast life as well as that terfist embarrassment of B&W. Actually ....

Sex Politics and Religion dropped its tent in March after the CPAC monstering. Meanwhile Zingularity coughed and died in May.

Margin of Error is a pointer for Patheos.

Since July Indelible Stamp pops something every other month.

Godlessness in Theory has gone monthly. Zinnia had 1x post in Aug, 1x in September and since then has been on holiday.

So the 31 blogs could easily be cut by 9 to 22. That would be a good start.

At least Ed had the good sense to have his blog struck from the roll call of shame.

That last option is great in case you get infected with a stealth virus that is undiscovered for a bit of time. That way you can go back before the infection and get good versions of your data/document files.

Hell, one hit from a cryptolocker variant could have lost you your work too.

Everyone else here on the board, take dogen's case as an example and a warning to protect your data. House fires, home robberies, stolen laptop, lost laptop, unruly nieces & nephews, hard drives going bad. You should just expect that you are going to have a catastrophic data failure of some sort. Because i know it has happened to all of you in the past. Protecting your data so that all you have to do is replace your computer & programs to get back working will save you a heck of a lot of time and stress.

In my case, being on sabbatical means that my daily backups stopped occurring (because Apple's Time Machine doesn't work when I'm not on the same subnet as my Time Capsule -- even though it should).

I think she wanted to hear more about stare-rape, microaggressions, mansplaining, & the other horrors 1st world trust fund princesses like Oafie are forced to brave. Jenner is a media sensation over a SJW-related gender issue but isn't using s/h/it's public megaphone to promote Oafie's ideology.

Also, she's jealous. No one tells Oafie how brave she is for being a mannish, unattractive old lady despite her having been one for centuries. That's gotta grate.

No, what actually happened was that the movement completely lost its original aims of banking reform and turned into yet another identity politics clusterfuck. It DID become a joke. And people who actually wanted some sort of meaningful financial regulation or debt forgiveness are still pretty pissed about it all.

At this point, the working class in America have NO political friends or allies. The right shits on them and calls them lazy. The left shits on them and calls them racist and sexist.
The working class have been thrown under the bus since the 70's, both in the US and the Uk. It is particularly apparent in the US where one struggles to find any reference to a 'working' class now. Everyone is 'middle-class' even the most blueshirted of workers. Here in the Uk the one demographic that is consistently failing in education is white working-class boys, unfortunately as privileged, shitlord rapists in waiting, any suggestions that they should be prioritised to bring them up to the same educational standards as the rest of society are quickly pooh-poohed by the upper-middle-class white liberal feminists who dominate education. Marxism has always been a luxury of the middle-class as the kind of revolutionary rhetoric they employ has a tendency to lose working-class people their jobs. It is considerably easier to agitate for revolution when it's Daddy who owns the factory where you are a middle manager, or you are in the ivory towers of academia with tenure. Poverty breeds fear not revolution.

And she got what she wanted - dozens of responses, all of them contemptuous of her Twitter "PTSD". I'm sure she feels better now that she can claim victimhood again.

I can't link to it right now, but if you go to the tweet you'll see that even Thunderf00t got a reply in.

Thanks fuzzy and KiwiInOz. Been here a while. Used to post as "Some Lurker" but the guest-post-email-bug got me to finally register.

I was also the guy arguing with Tribble about virtual reality.

Perfect AND Important!
I once had a doctor say 'Smashing thank you!' after he had performed a prostate exam. I replied that it was 'my pleasure, any time.' It's at times like that I'm proud to be English. Although in retrospect I should probably have made some sort of complaint and dragged him through the mud ruining his career. I just don't SJW well.

Welcome, VR. Since you're an old customer, you get an older, slightly scruffy lynx.

On my lynx hunt, I came across this one. The little one looks as if he just got surprise buttsecks.
