Just to be pedantic, I've always found it funny that in a world where the majority of government spending is financed by auctioning off treasury certificates that people still speak of "my tax dollars."

Yes, she's putting her life "on display." Because she wants the attention, and you are giving it to her and making yourselves look bad in the process. But at least she's posting it on her Facebook and not Skepchick or FTB. IE it's only public if you're stalking her facebook. If I did the same with a Pitperson and posted all their Facebook shit to FTB, I think the person and their friends might be a bit miffed at me, even if it was their own fault for posting it publicly.

Ah, I stand corrected; I had assumed that the severity of the disease was central to the definition rather than its prevalence.

A widespread endemic disease that is stable in terms of how many people are getting sick from it is not a pandemic.

Although maybe it's still the case that the number of people getting sick from HIV is increasing all the time.
