I've been to Pycon in Montreal this year, which is the first time I've seen so many SJW's in the wild. The event was great, but the hand-wringing on the SocJus agenda got old very quickly.

I saw many excellent presentations. Two had direct swipes at Linus Torvalds, which was disappointing. He's rapidly becoming open source's favourite bogeyman.

I have come across a blog by a friend of mine, whose opinion I admire, who discussed the "Rolling Stone" magazine debacle, in which it appears it was proved that a rape story was entirely made up and fraudulent. I'm afraid Sally Strange and her ilk would have a heart attack at the commentators there making remarks like, "False accusations ruin lives". How dare they?

I was interested in David Ainsworth's story, mainly because I knew about him from work, who killed himself due to being accused of making sexist remarks. Whether he was or was not has not been established, but I find it tragic that he felt 'abandoned' by a police force who seemed compelled to avoid asking the question, "Are these women making this story up?"

Anyway, the commentators at Ashley's blog seem rather detached from reality - I came to the Slyme pit from Greta's blog, ready to take on the horrible people here who said horrible things that weren't true. The problem is that when I tried to take posts apart and prove them incorrect, I couldn't. They had links to show that what they said was accurate. I just wish the FtB lot would at least try the same thing.

Could it be considered a type of assault if the one party fails to obtain informed consent from the spouse prior to going outside the marriage? Or is that stretching the definition too far? Is it some kind of lesser violation if not assault?

What if the one party that goes outside the marriage doesnâ€™t inform the spouse and yet continues to have intimate relations with them? Could that be considered a type of assault in the sense that the relations would be had under false pretenses and that the consent so obtained would therefore not be informed consent?

Trying to figure out where those boundaries lie. Any clarification you might provide to help us untangle this mess would be greatly appreciated.
