If I was Radford and facing $50K in legal fees, I would consider something less than an outright apology.

If I was Stollznow and facing $50K in legal fees, I would consider something less than insisting a very public accusation of sexual harassment not be retracted.

I might believe a joint statement that the two of them have a long and complicated history, that misunderstandings have been made on all sides, and that it is essentially a private matter that should not have escaped into the public would allow Stollznow to apologize for the SciAm post without specifically denying the charges, would presumably post enough fuzziness that Radford can feel a court battle is not needed, and would be a request that the FTBers (and perhaps even us) could move on.

But considering how poorly I've done in court, well, there is no reason for anyone to read shit I've written with anything other than a laugh.

Option 1: Radford loses (libel suits in the US are hard). She's golden.

Option 2: The judge might cut the pear in half, acknowledging some improper behavior from Radford that did not meet legal criteria for sexual assault. Even in this case, Stollznow would "win" in the court of public opinion, at least for the people who matter to her.

Option 3: Radford wins completely and Stollznow is called out as a liar. I can't see that happening in a "he said, she said" situation.

The only problem with going to trial was the cost. This problem is now solved. From her viewpoint, it's all "bring it on!"

Stollzy could've done worse than to sign the retraction Rads posted. It was relatively mild, and to her fellow SJWs she could (or if there was a gag order, have her cronies) insist she only did so under financial duress. But now with a $42k war chest, that's out. Best strategy for her now is to feign renewed willingness to hammer out a retraction, but drag things out until Radford goes broke.

So one of Watson's videos became somewhat popular on reddit.com. And as expected some people vocalized their distaste for Rebecca.

However reading through their comments... just flat out disappoints me. The vast majority of those expressing distaste appear to only express their disagreement in the most childish of ways. They say they 'hate' her. Call her a cunt and other names. But very few (and by few, I mean at best I could count them on one hand and have plenty of fingers left over), can put forth a civilized articulate reasoned argument as to why they find her problematic.

The few who try, get the quotes of her wrong and reference outside material. When, at the end of the day, I believe their arguments are best made by quoting her accurately and directly referencing her own material. Quite literally let her sink on the basis of her own vile words.

Looking at their reaction, I can't say I blame many of the other side for thinking that this is all just vile irrational hate. It is because you have a bunch of retarded failed abortions who can't (or chose not to) express themselves in civilized terms.

At best, they are propping her up.

Brendan Eich donated money to California's Proposition 8 Anti-Gay marriage legislation in 2008. At that time Brendan was another employee of Mozilla and not in charge.

The solution to this problem is to never update Mozilla. Update like once every six months or year, and tell Firefox and its endless modifications to go take a fuck to themselves.

But yeah, it pissed me off when I updated and realized Firefox had scrubbed my two script blockers and I was once again getting the full adbomb experience. I'll stop running adblock when websites stop running flash animation ads.
