Fortunately, we still don't have a PZ Myers equivalent here, but you never know. (And to be fair, our Rebecca will probably have a big butt, so that counts for something).

I remember listening to every Atheist Experience episode before it became stale and uninspired (not because of EG, but because I got tired of listening to Christians trying to justify bullshit over bullshit - I started skiping the episodes with "Viewer calls" on the description, and suddenly I gave up altogether). I listened twice to the Non Prophets "Ann Coulter is a cunt" episode (oh my, how much penitence did Matt, Jeff and the others must have paid for this misogyny?). I remember reading on the AXP blog (over FTB, no less) on how Dawkins was wrong and how PZ was right, and thinking "what a load of bullshit". Then I finally went to read the other FTBers and, oh God, what a painful experience that was. This was the first time I became aware of the Slymepit, but I only started reading it after Franc and MKG went over the Ask An Atheist blog to counter Ophelia's pile of bullshit (and I became aware of Franc's blog, which is pretty awesome in my humble and ignorant opinion - but I'm biased towards aggressive, no-holds-barred writing).

For the last year or so I grew more and more tired of the FTB crowd's bullshit, and when Atheism Plus began, I gave up. Too much shit, in such short amount of time. And I started to read the Pit every day, just for the lulz (FTB and the Athism+ crowd has no sense of humor, and that's a big no-no on my book). And there we are now, trying to laugh at those white, priviledged Americans and Canadians complaining about First World problems like harassing and stressing over internet comments, while down there on the Third World South we have to fight against real misogyny (like our abortion laws, too restrictive; or the domestic violence, most of the time going without any real punishment; or sexual exploration of children, teenagers and young women, forced to prostitution), government corruption AND incompetence (like... our healthcare is a joke, and good luck trying to stay alive with a 36/100k homicide rate per year), all the other shit we have to put with every single day.

So... I'm sorry for my English, in advance, because while I can read it just fine, I still have some issues writing. And as a preemptive strike: fuck off.
