Is that really what he thought? I admit I haven't watched the video (I tend not to watch any youtube video more than a few minutes long, exceptions are great videos by Mykeru and others), but I thought PUA techniques were more about confidence-building and practice, rather than cheat codes that work for everyone. Though I imagine that there are some quirks that work with a lot of people (like IIRC Richard Feynman's observation that women were more likely to go home with him if he did NOT pay for their dinner).

If you base it on IP, you can come close. (I'M IN TALLAHASSEE, FL. There, saved him some work)

the problem of course is that IP geolocation is really unreliable. For example, at Macworld, the WiFi was provided by an outfit out of chicago. Good setup, nice and fast and reliable. But, because their netblock is owned by a company in Chicago, people who use location services that rely on IP geolocation had their laptops thinking it was 2 hours later than it was.

So it is reliable more often than not, but it's not HIGHLY reliable.

This is the person who is 'stalking' Melody Hensley. By bringing up some stupid ass shit Melody said on Twitter, and will not apologize for (this all could have been resolved immediately if she had said 'Youre right, that was catty and sexist. Im sorry.', alas...).

From what I can discern from her post, I don't think she'll give up religion. But at least she's realized that her family is doing nothing but harm. That's one giant step in the right direction. I don't think she'll get to the same point as Nathan Phelps. As you said, if she spends her life helping people, I'm hoping it will be those who were in her crosshairs.

I think there's a difference between ridiculing an intellectual opponent and considering someone an enemy. There's a spectrum of ignorance and there's a spectrum of smugness. Creationists score high on both scales, so it isn't entirely unjustified to ridicule them, just like we ridicule Peezus, here.

There's certainly no equivalence with implying that educated and intelligent people are idiots, simply because they disagree with us.

So, whatever you view is about MRAs and/or Radfems, ignoring both as hysterical twaddle or whatever, the Aussies do have a problem, and that is the reality today.

I am quite ready to go with an abnormality in the hippocampus, specifically centred around the amygdala as an explanation for this type of behaviour myself.
