The reality is that if for some people these pics are upsetting the culture exists here where you can speak up about it...and there is no fear in doing so...or there shouldn't be.

I can sympathize – philosophy can be a bit of luxury, something that one might credibly or arguably suggest is something that appeals to “useless eaters”. Reminds me of having seen the movie on the defense of Masada, one scene in particular. While building the defenses there were some Jews who thought to claim to be exempted from the heavy lifting because they were “intellectuals” – didn’t fly too well, not suprisingly, with the rest of the population.

But I’m also reminded of someone’s aphorism to the effect that valuing plumbing or philosophy over the other is equally problematic as the consequence will be that neither one’s plumbing nor one’s values will hold much water ….

Well, I'll tell you what - I'd sure as hell rather listen to someone speak up and say it affected them for personal reasons than to listen to tut-tutters who are concerned about outreach and public relations and whether this place is spiffy enough for Dawkins or Shermer. I feel the rather hands off approach to forum standards is fine in that it allows one to police themselves. If you feel the posts are too childish or mean, then become the change and counter that with a more rational response. If you think it;s getting too uptight and feel like photoshopping someone's face into a donkey's asscrack, fine, go for it. As someone who has flirted with both the more reasonable and the juvenile in my posts here, I appreciate the freedom either way to express my thoughts in the manner concurrent with my mood.

Quality was good, a few relatively minor nits, but that sucker must have been a bear to put together, especially on new, unfamiliar software. I was hoping you would use that video clip offered a couple of weeks ago, but I actually thought the way you closed was far superior, as it struck the perfect note at the perfect moment.

Well, some parts did resonate with me.

For example, one or two occasions when I had to pretend to be busy writing up action items after the meeting was over come to mind.

Never mind I had absolutely no idea what was said in the meeting, as I had spent the entire time with a raging boner and studiously avoiding looking at the woman in the room, who for some reason completely unknown to me was an object of desire.

Never mind that she was professionally dressed, skirt at knee level, and not exposing a single inch of cleavage, which was covered in a jacket so loose fitting one could not even determine the size of her tits.

Never mind she was wearing no makeup, and in fact her hair was a mess, as being late she had left the house with it wet and had come strait into the meeting.

Nope. I spent the entire fucking meeting lusting after her with a hard on that I could have used to lift weights twice my body mass with. Only saving grace was I happened to be not wearing a kilt on both occasions, otherwise I would have needed a new sporran each time.

Never mind I had to sit there till the erection eased off enough for me to be able to stand up without doing myself a permanent injury.

Might be hard for some females to understand this, but sometimes being male sucks boulders through a straw.
