I notice A+Theism are still struggling to make it to 10 reasons why they're proud of what they've accomplished.
This right here is why I think we can all take great pride in the Slymepit's accomplishments: that was one sad fucking dog. Did we organize endless committees and still fail to decide how to improve its life? No.
We stuck a racist fucking hat on his head. And just look at the little cunt now:
none of you have any idea what "covered in dog hair" means.
I have four big dogs here with me right now. Three are having a wrestling match. Sometimes I have up to eight over to play, and have a few before and after that.

It's amazing what even two little terrier types can cover with their hair. I have one of my little ones sitting on my lap now and just from patting him I have a pile.
We bought a vacuum cleaner with a Powerhead gizmo.....they are fucking amazing for cleaning up dog hair.

I COULD do this, but it would involve me breaking the scoping of variables between forum and topic (thread) views, which I'm reluctant to do without digging more deeply into the code and looking at the structure.
In short, the answer is no, at least for the present. A quick way to get there is to go to the topic page, and click on the "Last Post" link in the topic header. This will always be present unless you've already read the last post, in which case, seek help.

Hmmmm. Well I do not think Amanda "man-jaw" Marcott is completely unattractive. However, that jaw of hers makes me a tad suspicious. I would want to see her 2D:4D ratio though before I made a comment. See below:
2nd (index finger) and 4th (ring finger), is affected by exposure to androgens e.g. testosterone while in the uterus and that this 2D:4D ratio can be considered a crude measure for prenatal androgen exposure, with lower 2D:4D ratios pointing to higher androgen exposure.
Learned about this a little while ago and I've been having some fun with it. [Of course, this kind of stuff pisses some people off, and I can see why... :? ]
I've seen some research suggest that this doesn't affect sexual behavior...but how the Hell couldn't it? After showing my lover I asked her to scope out her boyfriend's fingers and report back. From what I know of him, I predicted he would have a high 2D:4D ratio [meaning his 2D is longer than his 4D, and he wasn't exposed to as much T as a fetus]. I was right....
The map currently shows the weather in orange tones at the top, which indicate temperatures 40 to 48 degrees Celsius. But forecasts are predicting off-the-charts weather. As a result, pink and purple will now cover temperatures over 50 degrees Celsius—should it climb that high.
For those rusty on the temperature conversion, that is a sweat-inducing 122 degrees Fahrenheit. (The record-setting temperature of 50.7 set in 1960 has, thankfully, still not been broken.)
"The forecast coming from the bureau's model is showing temperatures in excess of 50 degrees," said David Jones, head of the bureau's climate monitoring and prediction unit.
Sheesh guys. That sounds unbearable indeed!

At first I thought she'd passed a massive bowel movement between those 2 paragraphs, but she probably means she put SkepticalJay on temp-ban "for the next week".
There's no list of temp-banned members that I've ever seen. If you register there, you can see the member list, which include those labeled as "banned". I think there are some who have been banned who aren't listed as such (one missing from mikelf's list is Shantanu) but I could be wrong (some of them may have perma-flounced right before they were going to be banned, like CudugganK24 or whatever his name was. (He's the man who'd been raped, was told in-thread - by a mod, I think - that (in general) being murdered would have been better than being raped, was banned in that discussion - then after an outcry was reinstated, then later said he was color-blind and was accused of being racist, and left).
I had to copy and paste the entire member list into a spreadsheet. You have to have an account to see the member list. The first column in the member list has the username left justified and any special status of that user right justified. Special status includes "Banned User."
I took a quick look at the thread you referenced. If you are wondering about Skeptical Jay, his record on the member list does not show him as a Banned User.

And that's the reason for it. These are fundamental things that those of us in the US don't even blink at. These are children born of countries where deformities like a cleft lip and/or palate are *extravagances*. So, people in the FfTB and A+ realm aren't affected at all and wouldn't know what a life long deformity can do to someone *not* of the US. That's why it's a sensitive thing for me and why I'm so grateful that people are donating :)

Yeah, "Improbable Joe" - he's had more than a few assclown comments on FfTB.
On the guy side it is very, very easy. Is she actively engaged in the sex? Is she physically and VERBALLY responsive? Then you are “safe†from “false†accusations.
Are you uncertain? Is she quiet and not talking? The fucking don’t. Never had the problem, as a guy, or even come close to misunderstanding because I err on the side of caution. <-- dumbest comment ever. I hate ignorant shit like that. If people can be horrible enough to rape others, what the hell makes someone think that women can't be horrible enough to falsely accuse people of rape, just as people falsely accuse each other of other crimes? Are women sweet and innocent? I'm offended by shit like this.
"Except for some bad movies, I don’t know where this paranoia that some men have about false rape accusations comes from. Let me give these guys some advice."
"Women are only bad people in the movies!" Makes me want to go falsely accuse them of rape (kidding).
"But what of asshole gets off on a partner that’s not engaging, unless they’re a rapist?"
LOL. "complaining about women not doing anything on the bottom? Damn, judgmental asshole!" has sex with women tht arent engaging on the bottom? Damn, asshole!" "Simple rule: if you’re not sure, don’t. Everybody wins, unless you count your mindless penis-beast alter ego as a conscious entity that can win or lose." <-- obvious sexist comment. What's it called when a woman rapes someone? Does she have a penis-beast too? I'm sure that's offensive to female rapists.
I wonder how many of these sexist fuckers even practice what they preach. Basically, do they always "make sure" all the damn time (god, that would be annoying asfuck. "Do you wanna fuck? Are you sure?" "Hey, youre being quiet right now, do you like this? Consent is verbal and physical!)... making it verbal as well as physical sex? etc.
Gosh, I swear, if someone does that, I'm going to toss them off of me. I don't appreciate being infantilized and treated like a weak, delicate flower. I want them to treat me like they would a man. And clearly, they aren't thinking about men when it comes to considerations and consent, judging from the sex-specific comments.

So you had that graphic which began at a startup feminist organization called The Enliven Project. Matthews considers it a “reputable orgâ€, yet it pretty much was born yesterday, and it has produced no known policy papers and hasn’t been mentioned by any other media outlets or even other feminists until this graphic hit the web.
A Huffington Post blogger tweeted the graphic. Dylan Matthews threw it up at the widely read WaPo Wonkblog. Feministing snagged it from there, Jezebel is passing it around, and now it’s off to the races. The feminist borg has swallowed it and now it is fact. Someone from Business Insider has even been snookered. This is always how it goes, but now with social media we can look into the gear works in real time.
The first graphic grossly overstated the balance of sympathy in favor of rape victims.
...
This graphic is less effective in ginning up the desired “sadness†that Matthews and Marcotte are looking for.

At the very least, Beaulieu has chosen the most extreme stats that support her claim at every threshold of the process. And, worse, she has been less than honest about the origins of her statistics.

How common is lesbian partner violence?
About 17-45% of lesbians report having been the victim of a least one act of physical violence perpetrated by a lesbian partner (1,5,6,13). Types of physical abuse named by more than 10% of participants in one study included:
Disrupting other’s eating or sleeping habits
Pushing or shoving, driving recklessly to punish, and slapping, kicking, hitting, or biting (11).
Sexual abuse by a woman partner has been reported by up to 50% of lesbians (12).
Psychological abuse has been reported as occurring at least one time by 24% to 90% of lesbians (1,5,6,11,14).
They should be concerned because these finding were taken from exactly the type of people who inhabit their peculiar safe space:
The research usually has been done with mostly white, middle-class lesbians who are sufficiently open about their sexual orientation to have met researchers seeking participants in the lesbian community.
Bonus points! No need to be concerned about poor people and other minoritys either:
Subsequently, these findings may not apply to women who are less open, less educated, or of other ethnic backgrounds.
Why would a lesbian batter another woman?
Lesbians who abuse another women may do so for reasons similar to those that motivate heterosexual male batterers. Lesbians abuse their partners to gain and maintain control (9). Lesbian batterers are motivated to avoid feelings of loss and abandonment. Therefore, many violent incidents occur during threatened separations. Many lesbian batterers grew up in violent households and were physically, sexually, or verbally abused and/or witnessed their mothers being abused by fathers or stepfathers (6,7,14).
From the link above. I have seen this phrase, or perhaps that actual website before. What gets me is that when faced with irrefutable evidence of a woman's violence (ie cannot be blamed on a man due to a man not even being present), it is still rationalised in terms of male fault. Why cannot a woman hit another woman in a relationship for the same reason that a woman may hit a man in a relationship?

Because of stuff like this:
“A misogynist is a male who is in the vicinity of a female who is unhappy.â€
- Academia, media, politics, 4th wave Feminisms.
Answers are simple. It is the question that is hard. Consider:
If a man speaks and no woman is around to hear him, is he still wrong?

I do hope the attack is over & done with, and your lungs are back to usual status now. Inhalers on hand, and so on? Let the dog sit on your lap, but not on your chest? Stop thinking about Amanda Marcotte so the acid reflux won't trigger coughing? All right, then!
Also, I hope everyone (especially Al) has gotten his or her flu shot for this season.
