Now, I know I'm not the best at it, but a quick look at Dictionary.com (including the thesaurus) gives quite a few results. I think the closest is "averse" - an adjective, but what is the difference between saying "I don't want it" and "I'm averse to it"? I'm sure a lot of people here can think of words for aversion - maybe something like "Ophing" or the like. Then she can read here like she usually does, and see the results, then claim it came to her in an email or something. ;)You know what English needs? It needs a word that’s the opposite of “want.†It needs a word for want-not. Just adding a not doesn’t do it, because it’s too limp, too reactive, too mere. We need a word that’s more forceful, more feeling, than “don’t want.†An unwant word. A verb form of aversion.
Is there a verb form of aversion? If so it’s certainly not in active use. English needs a word like that that is in active use, and so is available to use.
How 'bout "cun't" ?
She is making it to easy with the "too limp" comment as well, but seriously, when even words go limp around her, what does she expect?

My friends and I were just discussing that tonight.
We have a buddy who had to re locate to Syracuse from our area. The cost of housing and taxes were dirt cheap compared to where we are. Then again the average wages were much lower so I guess it works out.
Unless you are a parasite who relies on patreon donations.
Maybe she has wished up and taken the Zoey route.... I would advise Shanely to do the same.

The most dismaying aspect of this little argument is that Cunt didn't pop by to really light that fire under Mykeru's internet ass. The second most dismaying aspect is that Franc has already waddled off again, so he couldn't tell us all that we are the real baboons, and if we just recognized that fact then the Statue of Liberty (sponsored by Apple) would be safe for ever more, amen.

The proposal that she live in West Oakland may not be a timely solution:Matt Cavanaugh wrote:1) Becca could room with Shanley. They could be jogging/man-hater partners on the weekend in GG Park;Skep tickle wrote:Interesting about RW moving to SF.
It'll be really hard to make ends meet in SF on a Patreon "salary" + Skeptical Robot sales + donations to Skepchick:

Wonder if she (or she & her BF - is he going too?) will crash w/ GC & wife, or start moving in the same circles. (Godless Perverts, etc.)A salary of $40,000 in Rochester, New York should increase to $121,452 in San Francisco, California
San Francisco is 204% more expensive than Rochester.
Housing is the biggest factor in the cost of living difference.
Housing is 1386% more expensive in San Francisco.
2) "San Francisco" can mean "SF .. Bay Area." San Rafael, Colma, Sunnyvale, San Pablo, Newark -- lots of towns with cheaper digs than Teh Ci-tay. If Becca really wants to commune with the darlings of Social Justice, she could live in Richmond, East Palo Alto, or West Oakland.
Luckily the Golden Gate suicide barrier will only be complete in 2018 .... :think:West Oakland is exposed to a disproportionate amount of airborne toxins, as compared to the rest of the surrounding Alameda County. West Oakland’s close proximity to highways and the Port of Oakland leave residents highly exposed to pollutants caused by moving and stationary sources of diesel pollution, thus leaving them at higher risk for health complications such as asthma and even shorter life expectancy than surrounding neighborhoods averages

The Period Table? What's that, a chart of someone's menstrual history? At one every 28 days or 13/year, for - say - 43 years, from age 11 to 54? Yep, that'd trump your measly 551. :)Brive1987 wrote:Oh. Apart from the Period Table of course.

Oh, and you don't have to be embarrassed. It's perfectly natural. :D

Re: Nerds. Nerds EVERYWHERE...
I wish I lived in a world where I never had to hear the word "problematic" again.
Every time someone is about to tell me something fucking retarded, they preface it by using the word "problematic." In real life as well.
Usually, "problematic" just translates to "I don't like that thing you said and I wish I could call you a dickface for saying it, but I'm too much of a goddamn pussy, so I'll be passive-aggressive instead and imply you hate a large swathe of the population."
