I did indeed make that, and thank you for the awesome compliment. My shops are admittedly mediocre but once in a great while, my bat actually makes contact with the ball :D
That one, plus the steersman and colon/candiru pharyngulanhas were probably the best images ever posted here at the Pit.
Thank you, oh Great Leader.

Well, PZ has a post that they (for who knows why other than money) are making Prometheus 2. He also links to what is going to be horrible: MST3king (or Rifftraxing now) Premetheus

Kevin and Bill will be there, so there will be funny parts from them. Hopefully they will have a script (since that's how they do it) that PZ and Watson will have to follow. The thought of the two of them trying to be relevant or funny is horrifying. I've never heard PZ use any kind of humor (the funny kind), and Watson falls flat every time she attempted it on SGU. I hope Kevin and Bill know what they are getting into, although I suspect they have done this kind of thing before.

Although, after looking back at the page, maybe they will have MST moments, and have Watson and PZ there to provide some of the science - which could in fact be worse.

Serious question. Why do MRAs give a fuck if men throw better than women or not? What relevance is it?
Your guess is as good as mine (and possibly better). I posted the above because there was some discussion recently about the whole "throws like a girl" business recently. ...
It is indeed a puzzle. I think it is partly due to a reaction to the many – feminists and anti-feminists, both – who take evidence of some cases being due to “nurture” to leap to the conclusion that all cases are due to that. Really a “some swans are white so all swans are white” issue – the problem of induction. That so many to do that seems to be rather problematic – a tell of a dogmatic frame of mind. For instance, this comment by Eristae in a recent post by Ophelia:
Also, I have this terrible urge to go off about how some people are way too interested in describing the differences between the sexes as inherent. It’s like when you get people who insist that it is inherent that girls like pink and boys like blue ….
Maybe such interest is because more than a few see the problematic consequences of that “head-in-the-sand” attitude. For instance, Tribble:
For which men (the patriarchy) get blamed. And gender/radfem feminists, when their role in this dysfunction is pointed out, refuse to accept any responsibility for the harm their ideology has caused and further refuse to accept any sort of gender-based differences that would correct the problem without harming boys/men who've done nothing wrong.
Although I note with some amusement that Ophelia talks, in that same post, of “postmodernist woo” which is maybe a step in the right direction. Although I wonder how that will sit with the rest of the commentariat. But she still seems rather averse to considering how deep the rot goes.

I think one of the reasons SJW feminism has a following is that it gives hateful and narcissistic, but ultimately fearful and emotionally insecure, women the social permission and confidence to be the obnoxious assholes they always wanted to be.

It's much easier to be an obnoxious asshole if you're part of a movement of tens of thousands of people being obnoxious assholes for the same cause than if you're just one person screaming at clouds by being an obnoxious asshole alone.

I don't think menopause means what the author thinks it means. Full bloom in a plant or garden is the time of peak fertility. Menopause in humans is the end of fertility. Pretty much opposites.
You think you have menopause problems?
A friend of ours, an ageless, naturally athletic woman of Central American descent, turned fifty last October. She had a cycle that was so regular that you could plot space missions by it.
At the party held in her honor last Fall she had announced her intention of fucking every single man in attendance. She'd have made good on it too had not Aunt Flo decided to make an unscheduled appearance at the event.
Her husband's reaction was discretely ambivalent but the lady in question did not see the humor in this development.

Thanks, good to know. Do you have anything particular in mind? If a title or subject comes to you I'll do the search for it, I just don't want to spend a ton of time browsing his videos. Also, I've seen the "conversation with my younger self" video of his from a year ago and found it cute and clever.

Charities, particularly umbrella organizations like United Way, will make it seem like you are funding a particular agency or program. But, money is a fungible commodity and practically speaking, you aren't really funding a particular thing unless it's budget allocation is increased by what you have donated. So, unless CFI gives Melody a $5 per month raise, Stephanie's donation isn't going where she thinks it is.

Add economics and managerial accounting to the things Zvan doesn't understand.

1) The edits.
2) It's "satire," only it looks a lot more to me like a fucked up demonization effort.
3) How is this video funny unless you already really hate a group of people?
4) The general framing of the 'pit as "MRAs" and "MRA apologists" at FTB is relevant.
5) Maybe this is funny to people who would/do think pitters/MRAs are analogous to the KKK? I'm trying to imagine some group this sort of 'satire' could be directed at instead and it would be funny, but nothing's coming to mind. Doing this to the WBC or the KKK wouldn't even be funny to me -- let's laugh at their actual demonstrated shortcomings, rather than paint them as psychotic demons ourselves. I'd rather figure out a round-about way to relate to this than be freaked out by it but I'm coming up short.
6) I've checked out another of his videos and it seems at first that he's making fun of the ridiculous ways gender feminists attack males, Edward Current style, but then he'll say something else to turn that on its head and I don't know what's going on.
Well I for one find his stuff funny (yes I realize that a large part of my sense of humour falls into the "fucked up" category) but I really do not see how it is "creepy" so I would appreciate if you could try and expand a bit more about this.

The following video by him is my favourite. I have pimped this video several times over the last two years. I suppose as a MRA I should find it offensive, but one of the hallmarks of great satire is to recognize the underlying truth the work is based on.

It works for me bitches. Any MRA truly offended by this needs a kick in the cunt.

YMMV

Fucking hell what is wrong with people?
http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/18/us/ohio-c ... ?hpt=hp_t1
A mentally disabled woman and her daughter were held in an Ohio apartment crowded with people, dogs and snakes for more than a year, forced to perform manual labor and threatened with dogs and snakes to keep them compliant, authorities said Tuesday.

Federal prosecutors said the people accused of holding the pair in Ashland, about 60 miles south of Cleveland, collected the woman's government benefits and beat her in order to get painkillers for themselves. They kept her in a room with a free-ranging iguana and ordered her to feed the reptile fruits and vegetables her daughter was denied, according to court papers. Sometimes their captors' pit bulls got table food while they had to eat from cans, an arrest affidavit quotes witnesses.

The Slapdown is threatening to fracture the M(H)RM and has already dismasted the masthead of AVfM.

“Don’t run away”; “Don’t give up on women” they chant – their own version of NAWALT. Wooly has just published part one of a vicious seven-part assault on MGTOW and their supporters (like Karen Straughan / GirlWritesWhat), wherein Wooly shits on the idea that MHRM and MGTOW can get along, ironically proving her own toxicity to men while still urging men to see women like her as toxin-free.
http://www.avoiceformen.com/mens-rights ... -marriage/

What is this shit putting words in my mouth? Guys, go ahead, give up on women. I hate women as much as you do. Girls are icky. I was the local chapter president of the He-Man Women's Hater Club when I was 8 years old. My "hate-the-vag" cred is solid.

However, that doesn't change the fact that MGTOW are little whiny assholes who strut about thinking that "red pill" horseshit actually means something and, in the latter stages of their delusion, fault you for not seeing reality through the filter of their revealed wisdom and, in the terminal stage, are found like Ted Haggard with a head full of meth puffing on a man whore's cock.
You guys want to know what I do when I'm having sad-panda days, as it always makes me laugh? I simply consider Mykeru's constant boo-hooing over what MGTOW's and AVfM are doing [with his unwavering defense of WoolyBumbleBee in mind] along with Mykeru's Law.

The surge of laughter that I get is unmatched!
Mykeru's Law does not equal MGTOW. Unless, of course, you accept the premise that the feminist carpetbaggers are representative of women in general. Very, very few things equals MGTOW. The irrelevancy of the "the game is rigged, poor me" MGTOW circle-jerk is profound.

Also, you MGTOWs were constantly provoking Wooly BumbleBee. Her big mistake was giving you the reaction you wanted so you could dogpile her. Did she totally lose the plot? You bet she did. However, that doesn't make you clowns any more right either. And it doesn't make Paul Elam any less P.Z. Myer's stunt double.

I got tired of your "You can't understand unless you believe" ruby-slipper clicking Red Pill horseshit. What it comes down to is that you fuckers have found an ideological framework, a sociological conspiracy theory, to explain your personal failings.

Yes, I know guys get screwed here and screwed there and in the courts, but oddly enough, it seems that the most RedMenz MGTOW haven't had that personal experience, so something else is going on. Probably the guy equivalent of the burning hipster fem anger over being denied the Malibu Barbie Dream House as a kid.

And you get more snide and condescending than a greased evangelical when anyone points out that it's probably you, and not "the system" that is lacking.

Now, be a good boy and fuck off.

The irony of her saying "don't tell me what to do" when that is her whole schtick - telling others what to do. What hypocritical bullshit. Maybe Ophelia will be the next witch of the week - the sharks sure seem to be circling in a feeding frenzy. I wouldn't be surprised if that is what happens. There is absolutely no way her money will be dedicated just to Melody, and anyone with half a brain can see that, but if it lets her feel (or at least say, since appearances seem to be more important to these people than facts) that she is doing something useful...it's the same as holding a sign up for a picture. Way to really influence the world, Steffy.

I strongly recommend you have a look at some other somegreybloke videos on Youtube before forming an opinion on any single vid - he's more of an equal opportunities offender than the Dan Cardamon stuff suggests.
Thanks, good to know. Do you have anything particular in mind? If a title or subject comes to you I'll do the search for it, I just don't want to spend a ton of time browsing his videos. Also, I've seen the "conversation with my younger self" video of his from a year ago and found it cute and clever.
Try:

The guy who does the acting in the Dan Cardamon vids - Jeremiah McDonald - isn't the guy who does the somegreybloke channel - Mike Booth. I think Mike Booth has done a few scriptwriting gigs and animation work on BBC comedy programs and Wallace and Gromit type stuff.

So Jeremiah, who did the convo with his younger self - acts as Dan Cardamon who is a comic creation of Mike Booth - who is the guy who does somegreybloke.

I think...

The irony of her saying "don't tell me what to do" when that is her whole schtick - telling others what to do. What hypocritical bullshit.
Well of course.

She is in the right, after all!

Just like the Christians who scream persecution because school prayer isn't mandated by law, and atheists are allowed free speech!

As someone who wears wool kilts in winter, all I have to say is that the only place I have been cold is around the ears and face and I have been out and about wearing a kilt when the weather was -20° C (-4.00° F)

I have had the wind blow the back of my kilt up on occasion and thus in effect have mooned the people behind me, but my sporran has always held the front of the kilt down. Once I have a coat on, this has never happened.

Mind I seem to have inherited cold weather genes (if there is such a thing) and the cold does not seem to affect me as much as it does with many other people.

GOP Congressman Wants to Ban Abortion to Save Masturbating Fetuses

In a preview of the many pronouncements to come on the floor of Congress as the House debates a legislative ban on all abortions after 20 weeks, allow us to introduce you to Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas), who believes that abortion should be banned earlier than the Supreme Court says it should because, in part, he knows fetuses feel pain. He knows this because he says he's seen male fetuses begin masturbating in the womb around 15 weeks into a pregnancy.

http://judgybitch.com/2013/06/17/men-th ... lmost-all/
Serious question. Why do MRAs give a fuck if men throw better than women or not? What relevance is it?
Because radfem postulates that differences are a matter of patriarchal society/training and discrimination against girls and women. They are naturally and vocally opposed to any scientific line of inquiry or fact that casts doubts on their claims.

Take math, which is far more important than throwing. Boys (population) are, at a young age, better at math. Neuroscience has shown this through MRI analysis (which now so common and accepted that it's even in WebMD...). The part of the brain that gets to more abstract math functions starts to mature four years earlier in boys (about 8) than girls (about 12). Girls (population) catch up by college. But in late grade school and HS they're behind.

This has consequences beyond poor grades. For example, here in America, we start hitting girls (population) with algebra and pre-algebra about two-years too early. Which, sadly, causes the girls (population) problems and turns many off from math for the rest of their lives. Which, in turn, trickles down to college majors and career opportunities.

So, it's not about throwing. It's about an ideology that refuses to accept that men and women are similar, yet do have valid sex-related differences that will end up giving each population somewhat different results in different areas. Women are better at some things, men are better at some things. Sometimes these small differences can make huge differences in results. Sometimes they're meaningless. But the radfems of gender feminism refuse to allow these differences to be discussed and accounted for.

Talkback 16 — a segment in which local television news station WNEP-TV 16 airs recorded comments from viewers — recently featured individuals commenting on my June 13, 2013 address to Wilkes-Barre City Council in objection to government-led prayer during council meetings. Callers on the June 17, 2013 edition — seemingly disgruntled with my address to council (and the corresponding media coverage, some of it from WNEP-TV 16, which followed) — voiced objections of their own.

Nope, it's not April 1.

Just like the RepubliChristers love life until it leaves the womb (after that it's all war, tobacco, guns and executions), they now love masturbation, at least until the baby is squirted out. After that, little Johnny gets threatened with hell when he gets caught shaking hands with the president.

I can't speak for anyone else, but yes, I would have. 1) Knife-throwing is cool 2) The Magnificent Seven is a great film. 3) That's a dirty trick I use fencing*, but I've never been able to make it work from further away than already having swords crossed and maybe I can learn something from watching someone else's technique.

* Obviously, I do not throw actual blades at unprotected people, but, having been called on by simulated victims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the move several times, I've got a pretty good record for sticking the throw into targets... although I contend that it doesn't matter if you stick it: when you fling a knife at someone's face, they will, at the very least, flinch and screw up their guard enough for you to stab them with your main weapon.
