I'm mainly signing up here because I want to stake my claim to this username. I did this at the Atheism+ Forum long ago, and I realized that it was hard to appear neutral if I had an account at one place but not the other. I don't expect to be a very active participant either here or there. I find the whole situation rather counterproductive.
I do want to address one thing while I'm making this intro post, though. After I signed up I did a vanity search for my name, and I came across this from Dilurk last September:
I get that a lot. The reason I resigned really is the reason I gave in that post: that my current job gives me a chance to help a lot of underprivileged people, and I wanted to focus on that.A few weeks ago I noticed Beleth, one of the admins at SGU had started following Integralmath. The twitter exchange there was interesting as well. A supporter of RW following Justicar? Today I note from Beleth on twitter:
Beleth resigns
I do have to wonder.
Anyway. I follow Justicar because he presents his case thoroughly and understandably, even if his style of standing in front of a stark white whiteboard hung on a stark white wall while wearing a zip-up turtleneck is a little creepy. But I follow a bunch of Skepchicks too, and followed Melody before she summarily blocked me. I like to make up my own mind, and I can't do that without getting both sides of the story.
