If thou gazest long into the Pit, the Pit will also gaze into thee

Is there a way to close or delete an account? (Not this one! I like this one!) I registered and promptly had a computer crash. Well, train wreck wold be more apt. That's all fixed now, but I could NOT remember the details I used here. So I made a 2nd account, looked and recognized old User name, sent a message so I'd know which e-mail I used, got password reset and all is well. But now I have that second account I don't need. I don't want to smell like sock puppet, but I couldn't find info on how to get rid of it.

Anyone know how?
