Re: Nerds. Nerds EVERYWHERE...

Milo hits a lot of the right targets here and argues persuasively against the academic dogmas. Well worth a listen if you have the time.

Re: Nerds. Nerds EVERYWHERE...

Here's a good website that discusses the myth of the T34. Some excellent statistics on loss rates and types of weapons that killed them. http://www.operationbarbarossa.net/the-t-34-in-wwii-the-legend-vs-the-performance/ It may have been the best tank the Soviets had (in 1941) but it was far from the...

Re: Pit getting filled in?

Lsuoma, I don't post much but I’ve used the 'Pit as a major source of information on the happenings in the A/S community over the last 2 years. Visiting the noxious FTB and Skepchick websites and giving them revenue from page views and dwell time is something to be avoided, as I don’t want to en...

Re: Bleeding from the Bunghole

Really liked Gefan's new video. Agreed, another very amusing video. Thank you Gefan. I won't be able to add a comment on your channel , like I often do, as Goggle+ is needed now and that's not for me. :( So be rewarded by my praise here. Eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the Historical...

Re: Bleeding from the Bunghole

I really like Aron. This isn't quite enough to make me dislike him, but he has lost some status in my eyes. I know that despite his friendship with PZ he's refrained from involving himself in the various big dramas in the past. I had assumed he was simply shrewd enough to avoid having his loyalties...

Re: Bleeding from the Bunghole

Pittizens. In this ongoing period of Slymepit ennui and petty squabbling let us not lose sight of the fact that PZ Myers is going to get sued, for libel, because he called Michael Shermer a serial rapist. Remember that and be happy. Indeed, we are a Pit of happy atheists  I wonder how happy ...

Re: Roman History

Sometimes I wish I lived in England - I've heard in some parts you can't dig a hole without finding something Roman in it. The most I've ever found in my yard with my metal detector is a 50's Australian penny. I live in England and here's what was discovered on the land owned by a member of my fami...

Hello everyone.

I've been following this thread and the drama in the athiest community for a year now. Joined up to show support for the Slyme pit and its struggle for freedom from the oppression of FfTB and its feminist dogma.
