Oh, I doubt that freethoughtpolice is a commie. But talking of commies, I'm fascinated by how the magazine Living Marxism has transformed into
Spiked. They continue to claim to be of the left, but can't seem to help themselves from defending free speech and democracy. Their podcasts keep on coming out on YouTube and seem to contain an inordinate amount of actual common sense. Take the latest one about the loony jihadi dickhead on London Bridge for example:
Listen to the whole thing and tell me they are in the wrong. In the meantime, I spent all day yesterday with the hematologist. I now have a 17p13 translocation in the tumour cells, with a median survival of seven months without treatment. Upshot is to try to get some
ibrutinib paid for by a combination of my drug plan and the manufacturer's patient support program, and rely on it to keep me going until a good match is found for a bone marrow donor so that I might have a full-blown bone marrow transplant. What fun to live in such interesting times. 10% chance of dying during the process, and a 40% chance of "cure". Also an even chance of struggling with graft-versus-host-disease for the rest of my days whether it works or not. Joy!
